Alrightee, not sure if this is the right section for this, but I'm not entirely sure where else to put it...

I bought the collector's edition of FFXIV for both PS4 and PC, I got my use items for the fat chocobo and Coeurl mounts from the mail moogle, then... without knowing you had to have the license for mounts, I used them (the items), and could not use the skill it gave me to use the mounts. I am now beyond level 20 and just got my normal chocobo, but now the skills it had previously given me when I used the items are GONE.

Any idea how I might fix this, or how I can use those mounts? I'm still fairly new, I may just be looking in the wrong place... Any ideas?

I don't really know much about this sort of problem in relation to FFXIV, but what I do know is that experiences in other games have led me to believe that this is the sort of thing that you should file a ticket for, if you haven't already. Chances are a GM could give you those items back if you provide them with proof of purchase or something similar.

You've checked your Mounts window and there's nothing there, right?

The other thing I would suggest is that there's a guy in Ul'dah in the steps of Nald called the Calamity Salvager that's able to reimburse certain account-bound / special items. I don't know exactly what he carries, but you could try checking there too.
You might want to check your Mount Guide -- that's where all of the mounts you have will end up, including (last I checked) those you got before your Chocobo license. You can then activate your mounts from there or add them to a hotbar.

Oh... Oh no... Last time I contacted their customer support I was on hold on the phone for 2 hours before someone picked up, then hung up on me, and the online chat support wasn't much better... I was really hoping it wouldn't come to that, it's my absolute LAST resort... Cry

That's the first thing I did, only the company chocobo appears there.
Does it say the mounts are there and you just can't use them? Or are they simply not there? If they are simply not there then contact a GM. But if it says they are there but you can't use them yet. Maybe you need to be higher level or something?

They were there, prior to completing the quest "My Little Chocobo" (or something like that) and then, they just disappeared from the mount menu thingy.

Edit: I don't know why, but the quote here is showing up all weird... I can't seem to fix that, either.

Hmm... if they're not in the mount guide at all, I'd contact a GM for assistance. I've never heard of that before.
I, uh... just re-logged after a late class, and they were in my mount guide thing. Frustrated I don't know, I guess upon completion of the quest something happened and it just needed to refresh? Either way, I've submitted a bug report through the in-game thing, and the mounts both seem to work fine now...

That was quite the headache... Well, I'm glad to have my chubby chocobo and kitty finally!
