I'm trying to remain calm, I'm alot calmer than I exclaim in my post. It's just frustrating and I know a whole ton of people are going through the same thing.

Also I do believe they are throttling, or at the very list doing something to knock off a whole bunch of people at a time. I read about a few people having been on a voice chat when their whole FC got 90ked and can't get back it. It probably does a sweep every so often, knocking out a bunch of people, then some other people get in for awhile before it sweeps again and will keep doing it until things even out.

They don't seem to be concerned about it, on their twitter, they mentioned servers having issues like 15 hours ago and haven't said anything about it since then except:

Please note that there may be prolonged login congestion after Worlds have been recovered. We appreciate your patience and understanding."

Nothing about a maintenance or anything.

then they went back to promoting stuff. >.< They are so damn lucky I have a bunch of bacon, white rum and my cheesy show "the messangers" is loading up.. and I'll watch some Defiance.. but then I will BE BACK... *does the 2 fingers point to eyes, then point to SE, then point to eyes, then point to SE* "I'm watching you bitches! I'll be back for sure!"

I actually am fine with how the launch has been going. I've seen worse. MUCH worse. I don't mind sitting in a queue. I can connect to the data server using the trick of connecting to a different one and then going back.

My machinist is level 45 and I'm taking my time since I don't want to shock my body due to still being in recovery.

I'm glad you're able to get in.  Every time I see a queue, it's broken and I get another Error 2002.  But I bet we paid the same amount of money for the same access.  Dodgy

I unlocked DRK and am currently sitting at level 22. Shame it doesn't have priority queues, but it should soon enough.

When you open one launcher and login, open a second one right after. You have to force yourself through it by trying to log in ASAP on the second one as soon as you get the error. It normally takes about 5 tries and I'm in trying to connect to the datacenter.

Then as others said, if you reach the error, try switching the datacenter back and forth. Then you just have a long wait in the queue due to throttling.

I've done that.  I've been doing it for the last two and a half hours.  I get into the queue, but the queue breaks every time and I'm hit with an Error 2002 after a certain period of time and have to start over again.  I'm getting to the queue, but the queue is broken.

Edited to Add: It just happened again. I was in queue, got down to 1 in queue, sat there for about 20ish minutes, and then got another Error 2002.

Ouch. I can only wish you and anyone else who has yet to be able to log in luck with continuing to try and bullhead yourself in.

Yup. I still can't connect. Are there any RP servers on Primal, because I can connect to that Data Center.

Hehe .... for the past two weeks... everytime one of my friends was like 'why aren't you excited about Heavensward? Where is your hype?'

I would be like... 'why would I be? You know it's gonna be hard to get in, and have all sorts of problems. I'll be excited when it's actually playable and stable.' I had plenty of other things planned/lined up this weekend, and wasn't counting on playing FFXIV at all. Tried for about 20 mins to log in, then moved on to other things for the night Smile

Did that to me for about... maybe tenish minutes? (was washing dishes and sweeping the kitchen floor), then I happened to glance over and see that I was logged in.

Get up and walk away, imo.

edit - also, a few people on the main forums were claiming that for some people there was a DNS issue that shutting off modem + router and doing and ipconfig flush could fix (additionally, turning off avast/antivirus stuff until you get logged in), that something wasn't getting refreshed properly. I don't know enough to know if that's a possibility, but I figured what the hell and unplugged modem/router and did the flush. After that I could switch servers, whereas before I could not. Coincidence? Maybe. But hey, if all else you're doing is logging back in and getting kicked out, it could keep you entertained for a few minutes.

Eh, that didn't work either. At least it killed a couple minutes.
