All the 90ks. When your whole mumble server has a collective 'NOOOO', it makes it funny even though everyone is sad.

Spoiler alert: error 2002 ;~;

the 90k and 2002 - Leomoon - 06-20-2015

So I am not really asking about the errors but this errors have happened to us twice now in a row. Always at 3pm (1pm PDT) and then it last for about a hour at lest for me on Balmung.

Is anyone getting a feeling this like like a DDos or some kind of weird coding error.

Everyones getting off work and hopping on.

Just gotta ride it out

It's just the second day of EA. This stuff is bound to happen, and pretty much the norm.

Hell, I'm shocked it hasn't been happening more often. Either SE prepared their hardware better than usual to handle congestion, or they turned out to have much lower numbers of returning/new players than usual.

Quote:At the time below, we experienced technical difficulties with several Worlds, causing certain areas on the Worlds below to become inaccessible.

We are pleased to announce that the issue has been resolved.

However, players may continue to have difficulty logging in currently due to an increasing number of logins.
We are gradually allowing players into the data center, so we ask that you please wait patiently as the login rush subsides.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

It's called the Americans all hitting the server at once.

A huge wave of server requests is difficult to really deal with. If you have done any sort of network or server related work you will know that there's really not much you can do another having a massive wave of incoming requests at once outside of refusing new requests entirely. It doesn't matter what you do, it will never be enough.

The server is still up, it just allows very limited connections though the Lobby Server and again to the Game Server. Be patient, take a walk, speak to your family. Things will be working as normal once people stop hammering the servers.

Citation needed. Seems a little questionable to me to blame one demographic when it happened on a weekend, you know? Unless all of the EU folks go to bed at 9PM and nobody plays the game after dark?

^ this. Barring the American part.

People keep spamming the log in button non stop expecting something to change.

It errors once for me and I just hang outside for a hour or so.

You mean everyone on that data center, not the Americans.
