RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Qhora Bajihri - 03-19-2015 Yeah, I'd also say depends on the thing. She's not a really "fun & games" kind of person anyway. Games of chance, losing probably wouldn't faze her at all, unless she got suspicious of cheating, in which case she'd start plotting some sort of comeuppance, possibly out of proportion depending on the reasons for the cheating/how much she hated said cheater/what she actually lost, but even as a "bad loser", she'd try to make her revenge slow and indirect. Two weeks after Qhora walked away from the game table, cheater gets embarrassing public indigestion? Could've been anything or anyone. If it was like a job where someone kept turning the tables on her, she'd probably get progressively more and more dramatic with her response to each "loss". First time, eh, try again. Second time, what the hell, that's not right. Third time, godsdamnit, someone needs to die. Etc. That could be fun. RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - ChewableMorphine - 03-19-2015 This begs the question to all the people who lost arm wrestling matches to Flynt in drag. I feel bad for you son. I got 99 /randoms and I only lost one RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Wild Card - 03-19-2015 I'd tend to say "she's a good loser", but I guess losing on purpose kinda makes the whole "fighting" thing obsolete. Irie will not win against anyone (at least not any PCs). Even if she can easily beat them, she either won't accept the challenge or lose on purpose, because she doesn't want anyone to know about her abilities and skills. She'll just quitely admit her defeat and congratulate. And then go out into the desert and kill something big and ugly. RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Maia - 03-19-2015 Generally, Maia has this reaction when she's invited to a game at all: ![]() So she doesn't mind if she wins or loses, just that someone thought to invite her. When cheating comes up, well, she's pretty naive, so she'll wander off to look for some 'official rules' just to make sure everyone knows how to play properly. RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Chill Man - 03-19-2015 Javert is a sour, sore loser. RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Klynzahr - 03-20-2015 Klynzahr is level headed enough to let most losses roll off her back. She may congratulate the winner or simply acknowledge the loss and move on. Only when large sums of gil are on the line, does Klyn become uncomfortable over a loss. In such cases she will grow fidgety and can be sharp tongued. Of course it isn't the loss that bothers her as much as the dread of needing to pay it back. On the other hand Dani can be quite the surly looser. Loosing drinking contests, triple triad, or games of chance will generally trigger some grumbling, followed by reluctant congratulations. However she has not yet come to terms, with the fact that her age has diminished her combat skills. So loosing a sparring contest triggers several days of moping and frustration. For Iyrnahct.... I am really not sure on this one. He's so easy going that I doubt loosing would be any issue for him. RE: Is your character a good or a bad loser? - Caspar - 03-20-2015 Virara tends to take losing very poorly. She doesn't make a scene, but due to her not really understanding 'fun,' she competes very seriously and earnestly in anything she participates in. Losing makes her determined to settle the score, and she tends to overwork herself, training for the next confrontation. It's likely this attitude would carry over even to games if she understood them and wanted to win, which makes this attitude transparently childish competitive spirit. |
