I'll be there! Offering heals and shaking pompoms.

RE: [EU-Friendly] The Anchorage - Fighting Tournament - Jurgen Rothmoore - 04-14-2015

OOC Fight rules are up on the main post now! Gave them a little test this evening, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. The low roll thresh hold might be altered if it seems to happen too often during the actual tournament. But the current threshold should work for the first true event of this Tournament!

I WANNA GET MY ASS KICKED.

Or kick ass, if I get lucky. Like that's gonna happen, though.

RE: [EU-Friendly] The Anchorage - Fighting Tournament - Rahal - 04-15-2015

Yay, Rothmoore's events are always fun! Even as a spectator.

I could bring in Rahal as a combatant actually since this is definitely up his alley. Reiko would take some convincing as a spectator, but I could have her standing in as an NPC as needed.

Still plenty of fighter spots open! Maybe one or two healer spots left as well I'd say Big Grin

This is in two days! I might be a little excited.

So Nailah's a smart and knows my own timezone better than myself.. To advise, this is 9:30PM GMT +1 / BST, not plain old GMT Tongue it's been updated in the main post.

We also still have plenty of signup places so on the day there'll be spaces for late comers probably! Big Grin

Smash?

Smash.

Edit: Shit. Given my current overtime work, I won't be able to make this. ALAS

RE: [EU-Friendly] The Anchorage - Fighting Tournament - Igniting Dusk - 04-25-2015

I'll be there, to at least watch. Tonberry

So we just finished the first evening! It was quite the turnout and we have our first Champion!

This event was quite fun! The roll system is surely a different way of doing things, and i enjoyed it! Both my rounds came down to the wire, and if it wasn't for a very poor roll on my last attack, could have ended differently! I'll try and make it to the next one, I quite enjoyed myself.

Glad to hear that! I'm quite happy with the roll system, tried to find something that seemed fairly balanced since with these type of events a freeform system just won't work.. But amusingly in the initial tests, the win ratio did seem to be more a less 50 : 50. It also seemed basic enough that its quick to pick up, but not too basic, nor too complex in how it works!

If you do have any feedback regarding the roll system or the event in general let me know! Currently one thing that was mentioned to me is getting those who're emote fighting, to post their emotes in yell instead so its more visible. I'm also thinking of finding a 3rd overseer so we can run 3 fights at once!

I'm glad this took off successfully!

Next one'll be on the 9th, so this Saturday! To begin with this isn't something I planned on doing every week, rather alternate weekends to your own seaside event so the two aren't conflicting ^^

I'd thought it was on the Calendar.. But I think the auto renewal thing doesn't quite like me D:

Edit - Updated the main post with the date for this next one as well!
