RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Knight Kat - 06-01-2015 Waiting on Rhalgr and Nald'thal due to requests. That leaves Nophica and Althyk. I am totally out of order as I am now at Althyk's stone. Unfortunately, it's in a bad location. Groups of people near-by in queue to do AK. It is also a surprisingly tiny stone compared to the others, and you'd think the God of Time would have something more grand. Oh well, will wait here 30 mins in case anyone wants to show up. I am willing to join party to prevent trolling. South Shroud x23 y25. Right outside the entrance to AK. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kiht is no longer at the stone. Thank you Zagi'zi Kumai and Sahja Nepahl for the RP! Due to events that happened during this RP, I am going to time-displace the scene to make it the last in Kiht's pilgrimage IC. Nophica, Rhalgr and Nald'thal will be today, but ICly taking place before Althyk. Kiht's question of Althyk: "How does one endure hardship over a long period of time without breaking?" Kiht's prayer to the Gods of Time: "Althyk, I have seen this dusk that there are those who grow bitter with time instead of stronger. Those who cope by lashing out. Time does not heal all wounds it seems. Please give mercy to those who have had enough pain." RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Jancis - 06-01-2015 I'll be around Ul'dah for Nald'thal then! ^_^ I know Althyk's is like in some alleyway. Aie, didn't even make a little alcove for it RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - CrimsonMars - 06-02-2015 I wanna be Rhalar! RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Knight Kat - 06-03-2015 I apologize to those who wanted to meet with Kiht yesterday, it wasn't a good day for me. However, today I am ready to finally finish Kiht's "pilgrimage". Starting at Nophica's stone, really easy to find. Right outside the Conjurer's Guild in Old Gridania. Will be there for 30 mins unless someone shows up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kiht is no longer at Nophica's stone. Khit's question of Nophica: "How does one maintain peace when the bounty of the land is more limited than ever?" Kiht's prayer to the Goddess: "Nophica, I know my patron Goddess is your rival, but I have naught but gratitude for the resources my family and I have been able to hunt and gather for generations." RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Knight Kat - 06-03-2015 Kiht is now at the stone of Rhalgr, Southern Thanalan x19 y14. In Little Ala Mhigo, upper level. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kiht is no longer at the stone. Thank you Chiyo Hoshi for the RP! Kiht's question of Rhalgr: "When my clan takes up arms to fight instead of hide, can I truly stop them? Should I? Or should I lead them in destroying the threats they find worthy to fight?" Kiht's prayer to Rhalgr: "God of Destruction, gratitude for guiding me in the destruction I have needed to cause in order to survive. While too much destruction is oft a bad thing, sometimes destruction is needed for survival and further creation. I now see how you are more a part of nature's truth than I thought." RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Knight Kat - 06-03-2015 Final stone is Nald'thal's, and it's inside the Thaumaturge Guild in Ul'dah. Kiht is now there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kiht is no longer at the stone and that concludes her "pilgrimage"! More info to come on my conclusion to this RP experiment. Kiht's question of Nadl'thal: "Is Ul'dah truly doing right by you? Does greed and death somehow relate?" Kiht's prayer to the twin Gods: "Nald'thal, please help all those merchants looking to keep their businesses alive in the face of this monetarist curse. Please guide all the dead to a peaceful rest. There are far more to come..." RE: Pilgrimage to the Twelve Stones - Knight Kat - 06-11-2015 This is my concluding post. What I learned from this, and what others should keep in mind if they decide to take on something like this: 1: I tried to finish this in a few days by visiting three to four stones a day. That did not work out for me. Some of the RP scenes at these stones were hours long. The philosophical discussions were very intense and interesting. I would say two stones a day is all that can be expected. To visit all twelve stones without being rushed, the journey may take six days! However, your mileage may vary. 2: I found waiting 30 minutes to see if anyone showed up was the perfect amount of time. Never once did I get a tell from anyone saying they just missed me. 3: I planed to do the stones in a certain order, but that was changed very early on as I got PMs from people who wanted to meet my character at specific stones. I even set up times with a few of them. I would say that sticking to an order is not important. Just throw up notice that your character is at the stone with someone, and others are welcome to join. 4: I admit, some of the people I met were people Kiht already knew. It actually helped keep me at certain stones for greater lengths of time though. I still met mostly new characters. 5: I would advise a journey, not a pilgrimage. The whole secret thing did not work out. One of the people Kiht met at a stone needed someone to guide him through Ul'dah. Kiht decided to do that, and... She ended up in the Quicksand. 6: This journey was more popular than expected. 10 out of 12 stone visits had me RPing with other people! 7: Expect the unexpected. Kiht was attacked and injured by another player-character at one of the stones. Some of these stones are in areas that might be perfect for antagonists as they are rather isolated away from civilization. That is it! It was a fun project, and Kiht got to meet some new people. Kiht had major character development, and the RP was not as casual as I expected. The scenery at each of the stones is magnificent as well; a must-see for anyone who plays this game. |
