RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Kellach Woods - 12-25-2015 I'm running the Scholasticate questline. If you know me, you know in how much hatred I currently am. RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Greybarren - 12-25-2015 The year I decide to travel 1300 miles back home is the year that all of my mother's relatives are going to be in one spot ... all 120+ of them.  And guess who has to put up with their crap and family politics at the Christmas party.  Always a game who can talk the loudest, RIP my hearing. The things I put up with to see my siblings who I miss dearly. Also, internet sucks, pls send broadband. RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Roe Dad - 12-25-2015 I was never really into the spirit and as I got older saw no point in it so I tend to sit around and eat waffles courtesy of Denny's or Ihop RE: The Bah Humbug thread - SicketySix - 12-25-2015 It's my little girls first Christmas, so no Bah Humbug here! RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Greg - 12-25-2015 Drinking whiskey with my brother and watching Die Hard. The only one who got any presents this year was the dog, so we'll be taunting him with his giant toys and stumbling through the house quoting Bruce Willis. RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Cassandra - 12-25-2015 I have a family gathering to be bored over, but otherwise am just going to game and sleep most of the day. Never have been overly festive. I wouldn't mind the family stuff so much if it wasn't ridiculously crowded because my aunt insists on having it in a house the size of a closet. RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Hyakki - 12-25-2015 I have no friends or family to celebrate with, nobody calls, texts, emails or writes me. People here are all I have and even those relationships are strained these days If I didn't have a child that depended on me, I'd go lay on train tracks. I wish I could bitch about overzealous family gatherings merry christmas RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Nikobi Eyre - 12-25-2015 I suppose I might as well weigh in.. I DID have plans to go and visit family in between school semesters but they sort of fell through. Now I'm pretty much all by myself for the next week and a half. It sucks. Don't be surprised if you guys see me here a lot over the next couple of weeks. However, for what it's worth.. Happy Solstice, everyone! Nursing a holiday hangover here and grinding exp, but other than that, it hasn't been a bad Christmas. Even though I posted in this thread, I can still say it wasn't a bad Christmas. I'm alive, I'm full. I can afford to make a good dinner on the grill. I got a bed to sleep in. I got internet. I got a full fridge. I mean, gotta count your blessings. I guess that's what makes me happier on Christmas when I look at the little things. RE: The Bah Humbug thread - LiadansWhisper - 12-26-2015 I had a pretty awesome Christmas with my family for the first time in several years (I have had to work basically the day before and after, and haven't been able to go). This year, I got off early on Christmas Eve and was able to drive over and stay the night, spend Christmas day with the family, and then just got home (since I have to work tomorrow at 1pm). It was pretty great even tho I am exhausted. ![]() RE: The Bah Humbug thread - Glacirus - 12-26-2015 These last 4 years have been Bah Humbug for me... 2012 I lost my job on Christmas Eve. 2013 I was stuck in the hospital from the 19th to the 23rd so there went all present shopping/cookie baking/tree getting time. 2014 was ok, but after 2 years of crap all our traditions were pretty messed up, so it was small. And now this year. The oven has all but died, so there's no cookies or other baked goods. Saving to replace oven has wrecked present budget. And the weather being in the 60-70's has just thrown us all off, making it just not feel like the holidays. Still had a decent Christmas all things considered, but the energy/spirit isn't there like past years. I personally blame adulthood... |
