Gospel is well situated within the high upper class. Being born into an already strong family, while also having both the families business and his own in dealing with automaton creation, repair, and selling. One thing that lead to his families great wealth was having almost the entire business be ran by the Mammets that were being produced. This was not only used to help save on having to pay workers, but it also served as a powerful advertising tool and to prove just how useful the machines could be. It took some time but eventually it allowed both business chains to be ran with only a handful of human workers. Their jobs mainly dealt with making sure the Mammets weren't defecting, being tour guides and also to handle some of the transactions.
I also figured with ARR and the whole pet thing, his business would be as strong as ever, having a hand in the mass production of the mini Mammets that adventurers were running around with in the tour of Eorzea video.
Another tribute to Gospel's wealth would be his spending habits. One could consider him to be "rich miser," only spending money on things that he felt were essential, such as: Nice house, food, clothes, hobbies and leaving it at that.
So there you have it.

It's tough to picture Kannadi without her exorbitant yet carefully-managed wealth. Even after the nine-tenths economic contraction, she'll still be loaded.

Lower class, always has been, always will be. Aysun makes enough to survive in what she deems a comfortable way and doesn't feel the need to make more than that unless she has a reason to.
Prior to Dalamud, she did seek extra gil, saving it and giving it to Nel in hopes of helping purchase supplies needed for the boat. This essentially left her with nothing, which, since she thought she was going to die anyway, wasn't an issue.
Coming back to ARR she'll have no actual job (5 year absence from the Mineral Concern? Yea... she'll be seeking that out again but I'm not sure when), and no possessions to her name. XD

In truth, Tyonis is loaded, but all of the money he uses actually belongs to his brother, who is the Patriarch of the family. It's comparable to an allowance of sorts. Without this support, he'd definitely be lower-class, because he spends money as he earns it and doesn't have any interest in forging long-term investments to drastically improve his livelihood. He made enough to buy a single-roomed studio in Ul'dah, although that was probably requisitioned by the government since he hasn't lived there for half-a-decade.

Endemerrin himself by no means lives an upper-class lifestyle (opting to go the route of staying in inn rooms or camping out in the middle of nowhere), but technically he is very wealthy. His best friend (Who is basically a brother to him) is loaded to the teeth, and the two share coffers for numerous reasons. Endemerrin himself has contributed quite a bit to those very coffers over the years, of course. Adventuring can be quite profitable when undertaking the dangerous jobs no one else wants to do~
He pretty much only dips into them when he needs supplies for his adventuring or materials for his engineering and metalworking. Luxury living and fancy clothes aren't his thing.

I think it important to add that while I choose "middle" I think that the wealth fluctuates depending on the opinion of the people viewing the objects. while not possessing much Gil in and of itself, or a steady income, relics left over from 1.0 and other various reagents I consider as "capital" that would bump him up to the middle level. Whether he is able to sell them at a decent price is another matter entirely.

Rhio has never been wealthy, exactly, but she's never been poor for long either. In 1.0 she made more than a decent living and was actually quite well-off for a while, although she gave most of it away either as gifts or as charitable donations. By the time that Dalamud fell, Rhio's home was already destroyed and she was marked as a criminal in Gridania, thus resulting in the seizure of most of her assets.
Despite that, I still picked middle class, for two reasons. First of all, she had squirreled some things away in buried caches prior to Dalamud's fall, and while most of those caches contained historical records that would be of interest to future explorers (since she expected that Eorzea might not make it through) she also did tuck away some gil and useful items for herself in the event that she survived. Second, however much money she might actually have, she doesn't give the impression of poverty.
Well, unless she does. Rhio's like that sometimes.

I would put Fearless as middle-class. His family runs a profitable ranch but he doesn't rely on that for financial security. He has a steady job and often takes side-jobs to pay for the rent and stuff.

An enormous debt and no job stability leaves Myal smack dab in the lower class. Post-impact, with everyone she cared about seemingly dead, she lost all motivation for stability altogether and turned to banditry.

Arlon has kept himself lower-middle class, mostly by luck. As well as leves, he takes on any side jobs that people offer. He has always been good at managing money and has never been forced into poverty. He's content with what money he does have.

Molt has been in the middle-class since he was born.
When he was a child, he was supported by working parents. Though they originally lived just outside the Twelveswood in a small village, they still lived comfortably, though minimally, until their move to Gridania.
In Molt's teens, he was on his own, under a well-off merchant's support, though most of what Molt needed other than food and a home was out of Molt's expense, which he paid with his winnings in the Ul'Dah underground.
When Molt left all that, he still had quite a comfortable living, attempting to settle back in Gridania with a lover. When things got tense and money began to run low, he began to fight again to replenish his funds, and eventually bought a permit to live in Ul'Dah again, which brought his funds considerably low, since those permits are quite expensive.
When Molt found himself alone, he moved to Ul'dah permanently and maintained a job at the Phrontistery, living in an inn room, hoping one day to save enough money to buy a real home.
Come ARR, he lost a lot of money. Molt was smart, in that he withdrew all the Gil he could physically, safely carry in a pouch before Meteor came in and messed things up, taking out (or at least screwing with) the Ul'Dahn banks. Not that what he had under his account was much more than enough to buy groceries, rent, and a few supplies here and there.
5 years later, and (tentatively) Molt makes a name for himself as a traveling merchant, specializing in unique weapons and materia. Selling these products has certainly brought in Gil, though only to pay off a few loans to start his business and fix the parts in his life Dalamud shattered. Come the launch of ARR, Molt will be almost loan free and starting somewhat fresh, though still comfortable.
I translate that into: I was always broke in 1.0, and am taking with me 40k Gil to ARR, which will then be 4k. I figure the bank system (if one were to be in place lore-wise) would be all kinds of messed up, and the economy would be in the dump, so the net worth of Gil had been adjusted. In addition, the relative wealth that Molt has is greater than what I actually have. Come ARR launch, I will be able to give myself a clean slate, in a way, due to these things to bring Molt's wealth down a bit to match RL Gil, and allow me to explore different avenues to make money. And stuff.
To me, middle class has always been something I grew up with. Our house was always a two-person income, and my parents maintained the house, groceries, kids etc. well enough and had a little extra come in to save, even if I, as a child, ended up having surprise expenses (hurray ER visits and field trip permission slips).
It's only recently, when I've been living on my own, when I realized that I'm in the lower-class range. For a while, I was working a dollar above minimum wage, and had just enough money to support myself, though if I was screwed on hours or if something on my car broke down, then I was surely to be late on rent. Even with my new job as a delivery guy (which ranges from $5.50 an hour on horrid, slow day shifts to $15+ an hour on really good nights), I find it a little easier but I guess I'm still lower class.
It's interesting to take a step back and realize the different definitions of the class system and compare it to others, then compare it to what a person actually needs to support themselves, then realize what's left over. And then...there's debt, lol.

Siobhain should be at stable mid-to-high class in regards to income. Given that she's rather frugal by nature and subsisted off her teacher for the better part of her life, she was fairly well off leaving Ul'dah. With the income she accumulated from her 'practice' in the arenas, and the odd jobs she did to build repoire during her training to become a paladin, as well as her inheritance from her teacher after he died, Sio's had quite a bit by way of funds before she even began her blacksmithing work. However a large portion of this wealth, as it were, will be invested in the linkshell that she and a number of others are putting together.
After all is said and done, maintaining her blacksmithing work and the odd leve job, she'll probably still be at a comfortable middle class.

Nakil only earns money when he *has* to spend it. Everything else is on an as needed basis. This technically makes him lower-class, but in his world, class has nothing at all to do with finance. He finds the entire concept absurd, since it negates all aspect of personal responsibility and skill in obtaining a thing, and shirks the one who was initially rewarded with the thing of their pride.
