Azreiel Wrote:Oschon for me.

Since Hayden is a Miner mostly living in the caves and such of Ul'Dah, it seems to fit.

Whooo second Oschon Big Grin /religious five :cheer:

Halone for Guild lore reasons, but my character will also have a very special place for Oschon, as she is also a scout and wanders around a lot.

Re: Patron Deities - Smiling River - 07-23-2010

I had my eyes set on Nald'thal since the info about the twelve was available. Actually even before then! It fits almost too perfectly for my character and story.

Mason will also worship Thaliak, although not as strongly.

Re: Patron Deities - Soren Miren - 07-23-2010

I was tempted towards Thaliak at first, but I've always been more of the 'lightning' guy so, combined with the black mage / white mage duality for Soren and Fyrian (and Fyrian being a 'water' guy), I decided to go with Rhalgr. I'm still working out exactly how it'll influence the character at large, though.

Re: Patron Deities - Shamadconde - 07-23-2010

Well it is rather hard to come up with effects of deities when all we have is basic information and not the method of worship.

Re: Patron Deities - Faust - 07-23-2010

I'm guessing Rhalgr and Oschon will be most popular. Unfortunately they have the most initial appeal to me too. I'm using Oschon for now.

I'd really like to see how the dieties play out in the lore before making a decision, but alas. IRL I'm an atheist and would just as soon play an atheist in game, but in a game where there will probably ample evidence that the guardian dieties exist, it seems silly to have a character that doesn't acknowledge that. Maybe if the lore lends to the suspicion, my character could believe that the dieties are less than gods, at least. In either case, my character is very intelligent, and so will believe whatever it makes the most sense to believe.
