I'm really not sure! Maybe an OOC LS would be good - a way for us to network together. What do you guys think?

I know there are several individual FCs and LSs available, but I'm thinking of one specifically for networking plots on the criminal side of Ul'dah, so it would include everyone together. Is this something you guys would join if it was available?

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Aduu Avagnar - 07-26-2013

not exactly a criminal, but Nako'li would most likely have some contacts keeping track of certain artifacts that he wants to keep an eye on.

Think of how Holmes uses the homeless as an information network.

I think that counts! And you are welcome to use Runa's boys as your contacts if you want!

Very cool, glad to see lots of people getting in on something like this. Cool

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Alothia - 07-26-2013

Alothia was a part of the seedy underbelly of the city states back when she was younger. She left that life when she was in her early 20s...but she might have connections still with a few people. I haven't decided yet.

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Low-Z - 07-26-2013

I saw my name mentioned earlier and this makes me happy..

I own a small business and this is the busy time of year for me so I cant always be around here as much as others but Im' still gonna be playing.  I missed the last part of the last stage of beta but hope to be around more for the next one.

Low-Z also runs his own small business, much shadier  and I'm sure he would love to expand his network of business contacts.  He doesnt think of it as being illegal though.  He provides a service where there is a demand for that sort of thing.  If he didn't, someone else would, after all.

So if there's room in this at all for a somnus dealer and a few other potent substances of questionable legality than i'm interested and Low is very interested!

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Nako-Chan - 07-26-2013

I'd love to be apart of some of the shadier elements with everyone else. Big Grin Not sure if there is any particular group or gang I should join. N'akocha is summed up in the following,

Potent White Mage and Scholar on the surface, probably even part time professor at the Arcanist's guild, while engaging in a thief's life in the shadows. After writing out the premise of her story I found she is not unlike the character Gallus from Skyrim, the deceased Guild Master of the Thieves' Guild: A book-studied scholar and academic who found the thief's life to be more to their liking. Gallus even described as "feeling more in his element climbing through someone's window" than with his nose in musky books all day.

N'akocha isn't that different. A studied scholar, accomplished white mage and healer. But being a professor and teaching coursing on scholarly and healing arts isn't exactly exciting. The thief's life is where that comes into play. Tongue Some aspects of her healer nature come into play which I find interesting. She'll avoid causing physical harm to anyone if she can, even make amends of some kind to any who are injured (healing, returning of stolen goods).

She'd be under the alias "Mnemonic" as a thief. So yeah, if there are any groups willing to have a medical thief in their ranks, I'm interested. :3

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Asyria - 07-27-2013

Ul'dah Underground uh?
My old main character Azyria (who's only like a dozen levels in a few classes) from 1.0 is an Ul'dah vigilante (Blue Moon!)... she's both part of and against the underground, depending what part of it we're talking about.

Her activities are mostly focused on hindering agressive street gangs in order to reduce their abilitiy to fight each other, thus reducing casualting, and fighting opression from the Syndicate, Brass Blades, whoever else. She'd rather all the power be in the Sultanate's hands.

She's not really a big deal, but she's been around for some time. With the influx or refugees, she's been spending less time as a vigilante and more time working her smithy and helping the poor (with crafted goods, food she's bought, but rarely cash).

I'm an all for an OOC LS.

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Y'sehr - 07-27-2013

Oooooo I am a fan of... treasure hunting. I was wondering what was going on in this regard. I can't help but want characters to be into stealing. The more I plan characters, the more they end up being thieves or pirates...

Anyway, hopefully I can work with all of you in the future Big Grin

RE: Ul'dah Underground - K'nahli - 07-27-2013

Not sure if it counts, but one of my Hy'ur's plays as a rather infamous bounty hunter. He works alone and is affiliated with no establishment but if you feel the desire to hire him or anything then who knows! Maybe he can track down someone for you, assuming you have any leads on their whereabouts.

Just leaving that here juuust in case ^^"

RE: Ul'dah Underground - Ashren Dotharl - 07-27-2013

My character and LS/FC are a part of the darker side of Ul'dah's underworld, however for the opposite reasons of many of the people in this thread. They're vigilantes and antiheroes that work outside of the law to get things done, so it could be assumed that many would view them as criminals just as much. In either case I look forward to opposing you all and taking down your criminal organizations in the near future!

RE: Ul'dah Underground - LandStander - 08-04-2013

Bumpity bump!

I finally got my characters background all good to go and would love to make some early year street gang connections that revolved around Ul'dah. They would have to be around 8-13 years ago though as Dennthota is now 27 and actually had a legitimate job as a bodyguard from the age of 19-23. She has pretty much been resorting to her old ways of conning people and rigging games again.

I also posted a new thread about other criminal-esque connections I would like to make if anyone would care to take a gander. Making Connections
