RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Zyrusticae - 08-14-2013 I'm changing my old Elezen Marauder into a Miqo'te, yep. Not wasting all that gear and gil and XP and stuff, that's for damn sure. RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Rhio - 08-14-2013 Rhio will receive some minor tweaks - the translation seems to have made her skin too light, for example, and she needs a new hairstyle. However, she'll still be the same Rhio. RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Ryanti - 08-14-2013 My old 1.0 character will be redesigned completely, and will be Ryanti's father. (Cause he's already leveled up a tad, makes sense yeah?) And my alt. My new character (Ryanti, yay!) Will be starting fresh. No point in a new game being made should I start with someone that's not fresh. ![]() RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Salty Lake - 08-14-2013 (08-14-2013, 04:54 PM)Adelpha Wrote:(08-14-2013, 03:33 PM)Lake Desire Wrote:As Murlona said, we can! RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Aysun - 08-14-2013 Adjusting colors so they are not so nasty from the transfer and making minor tweaks that weren't available before. Smaller bust, different tail. ![]() RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Pepper - 08-14-2013 I could try to make another Lalafell but she'd turn out exactly the same as the one I already made. She's too much fun, I think I'll keep her! Plus surviving the nightmare of 1.0 got me to develop an unbreakable bond with this character. RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Raccoon - 08-14-2013 I made three in the week that I played 1.0, and my highest was about level 8 or so. Plus, I doubt they are remotely close to the naming conventions or anything. So... yeah, starting fresh. RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Niteshade_Rune - 08-14-2013 While undecided, i suspect my 1.0 character will return as my main, with some visual tweaks using that free 1 time of changing my whole appearance. Tho only a few slight variations, mainly anything that wont be easily changeable via the eventual barbershop type feature post launch. SO voice, face, height etc I think i have come up with some overhauls to thanks to that wonderful character creation benchmark. I don't mind keeping him as my main mainly due to not only wanting to keep the assorted things i acquired, had some of the older 1.0 seasonal things and ingredients to craft some of the seasonal event things i wanted to not lose, as well as the fact that progression wise he was only at an overall lvl of 11 which i confirmed when i poked into the phase 3 beta. So I dont mind learning the game over anew with him. I'm not quite sure if i will utilize additional characters or not yet as my gf has taken up a possible interest in the game so I dont know if i will just play alongside her and help out using my 1.0 me, or have both him and a fresh one on standby just in case yet. RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - ArmachiA - 08-14-2013 I'm not legacy but my old characters were level 17 (Loki) and level 12 (Armi). I'm just redoing them completely and race changing them, and changing their last names. It's almost like starting over since I won't be using the jobs I levels in 1.0 as their main jobs (Loki: Archer ---> Arcanist, Armi: Conjurer ---> Archer) but I really like that tattoo and don't wanna reroll XD RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - Salty Lake - 08-15-2013 I just looked up my old character on the lodestone... level 31 CON, 20 THM, 14 tailor, 10 mining, etc.  Looks like I played more than I remember!  Now to decide if I am "missing" the experience of re-leveling those jobs on my way to 50... RE: Legacy Players: Keeping Old Character or Starting Fresh? - AFriendOfAFriend - 08-15-2013 A warning to anyone planning on recreating their 1.0 character(s): This Lodestone post kindly informs Legacies that you will only have ONE opportunity to recreate your character(s), and that will be upon the first login. Don't miss out on your chance. I mean I did do a ton of work. I remember when crafting was a huge chore and I sat for 3 days straight like 5hrs a day doing nothing but crafting down a bunch of sheep and buffalo skins I had. Those kind of memories kind of pains me to think about starting over, but seeing as they are stream lining leveling I try not to worry much about it. Plus seeing as I had everything 30+ I would probably hit 50 pretty quickly and don't want to hit 50 so soon with nothing but end game dungeons to run. I honestly think that the reason why I played XI on and off for 6 years was because it took me 2 years to get my first level 75 job lol.Â(08-15-2013, 09:04 PM)LandStander Wrote: Those kind of memories kind of pains me to think about starting over, but seeing as they are stream lining leveling I try not to worry much about it. But then male Miqo'te happened .. |
