RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - McBeefâ„¢ - 03-31-2014

Natalie walks briskly through the quicksand, looking out of place in her full armor, suddenly, she stops, a flash of red catching her eye.

“Roen….?” She thinks, her mind roiling, “Why is she…?”.

Natalie’s mind jumps back to a week ago, to the feeling of satisfaction she had in Roen, they joy on her pupil's face as the trial was passed. But then, she simply disappeared. Days passed with no sign, and confusion turned to worry and fear. She had deftly explained away Roen’s absence though, hoping to find her and deal with the situation before it became an issue. But now, Natalie’s feelings turned dark as she saw Roen standing casually in the quicksand, as if nothing had happened. She could feel her rage bubbling to the surface as Roen walked up sheepishly to meet her.

“Applicant Deneith” she shouts, her back straight, as she tries to keep her anger from overwhelming her.

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - Kage - 03-31-2014

(( *freaks out OOCly and ICly in reasons posted in log and in bulletin board posting*

KAGE NEEDS TO FIX THIS AHHH))

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - Aldotsk - 03-31-2014

There is a note posted on the Husting Strip bulletin board near the office of Sultansworn:

To all recruits of Sultansworn who are signing up for trials of Loyalty, I regret to inform you that sub-division captain Anelia Sadowyn has been leaving a note of absence. The reasons were due to a death in the family, personal rehabilitation, and also trialed for questioning from her missions, and her duty as a captain. Those who require the trial of Loyalty will temporarily be consulted by the senator Elororo Eloro, with the name Ellaria Althene of Royalist party. For any questions regarding Captain Sadowyn's trial is being questioned by Monetarists, and any further details are confidential. Also Captain Sadowyn will no longer be in the interrogation and enforcement department. Should there be any other questions or concerns, be sure to speak with Instructor Mcbeef, Captain Mynhier and Professor Althene.

That is all.

-Commander Jenlyns of Sultansworn

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - McBeefâ„¢ - 04-01-2014

Natalie strolls through the streets of Ul’dah, questions flitting through her mind. “Why would Roen do this?”, “Why would she throw it all away”, she wonders, again and again. If only Roen had been truthful with her, she could have figured something out, Roen wouldn’t be the first recruit to celebrate a little too hard after all. But that story, how could anyone believe…

Suddenly a voice jolts her out of her thoughts, and she sees the smiling face of her lover.

C'kayah Tia grins happily, then brushes his robes. "Natalie! What do you think? Fashionable?"

She nods, still battling with her thoughts, "It's quite nice..." she says absentmindedly.

C'kayah Tia leans in to kiss her, then looks at her curiously. "Everything okay, Nat?"

"Not..." she sighs, "I'm not sure Kayah but” she pauses, as ears flickering as two people bicker angrily nearby, “One moment…” she mutters, but then relaxes as the pair separates.

C'kayah Tia chuckles. "Always on duty... Let me buy you a drink, you can tell me whatevers bothering you. Okay?"

Natalie Mcbeef nods again, "Oh... but let's do it upstairs ok?" she says as she looks around her "I... I'm not sure if people should hear this"
C'kayah Tia nods and smiles. "Upstairs it is. Let's go."

The two of the head for the elevator, getting off and walking towards the small bar nestled in the side of the airship dock.

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - Kage - 04-02-2014

(( I'm sorry, but I honestly could not copy 5ish hours of log for what happened last night.

It was so very eventful, as well as emotional in my opinion. I am so sorry if Kage veered things off course. I just went "oops".

But yays it is fixed. Also, Kage expects to see Roen back in her armor!

... I so need coffee.))

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - SessionZero - 04-09-2014

Llaine eyes the letter with a little more than a glint of excitement in her eye. Sultansworn? That had been her dream since she was a young noble, watching the Sultansworn in the chamber of rule. Joining the Flames had been a start, and becoming a priestess of Halone had been a great honor, but Sultansworn? Surely an opportunity she could not pass up. Her reply letter is in fine flowing calligraphy, inked in what was surely expensive ink.

The following official letter arrives in response.

To Lady Llaine,
Thank you for expressing interest in defending the Sultana, and Ul'dah. As you know, our ranks are sorely depleted from the Calamity and the Garlean war. While we are certainly accepting applicants, realize the Oath is no small commitment, and will require much of you. If you are still interested, please respond with a short list of your qualifications, and should you be found equal to the task, you will be contacted by a member of our order.

- Jenlyns, Commander of Her Grace’s Sultansworn.

((thought it would cool if people put a little bit of a psuedo resume, so everyone reading the thread can see how neat they are Big Grin. After you respond, nat will contact you in game assuming you are still interested.))

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - SessionZero - 04-12-2014

Commander Jenlyns-

I would be a fool to turn down an opportunity such as this. Of course, I am still interested. My achievements and qualifications follow:

Former Immortal Flame
Priestess of Halone
Distinguished mercenary career under the pseudonym "Scarlet Blade"
Service to Eorzea with the Free Company "Order of the Sword and Rose"
Former commander of the Free Company "Knights of the Spiral Eye"

I sincerely hope you find my qualifications to be suitable to the needs and expectations of the Sultansworn. I eagerly await your reply.

With respect,

-Llaine, of House Tetheros

((Sorry for the late reply and notice!! I just wanted to give a small heads up that Natalie is currently on leave and away from Ul'dah. So... it might be... awhile. @_@))

RE: Trials of the Sultansworn [Closed] - Coatleque - 07-31-2014

Coatleque sat in her cramped little office reading over the latest missives. These were dark times in the city. Membership was slipping once again, corruption was more rampant than it had ever been, and despite her best efforts the Order was still seen as nothing more than the Palace's own hall monitors.

On the one hand, Ser Mcbeef seemed ever eager to resume her duties now. She had already found a promising new hopeful and had requested permission to continue training applicants. Coatleque was still hesitant to order the veteran around though, despite both Natalie's and the Captain's reassurance. She read through the official order before signing off on it with her personal seal.
Quote:
Official Notice of Applicant Enlistment

Applicant Name: Longheart, Alexei
Appointed Mentor: Ser Mcbeef, Natalie
Granted: [X] Denied: [ ] (reason):___________________
Officiating Officer: Ser Crofte, Coatleque - Sgt.
She sighed to herself, unsure if this was the right decision. This city wasn't big enough for another Mcbeef to be running around. She sealed the order and had it sent to Ser Nyalie to process the necessary requisitions and make arrangements.

Her attention then turned to the other notice, straight from the Captain.
Quote:From the desk of Captain Jenlyns
To all officiating Sworn

Due to the continued leave of absence of Ser Sadowyn, the Trial of Loyalty administered to new applicants will be performed by Ser Crofte. She shall join Captain Mynheir and Ser Mcbeef in the training and mentoring of new potentials. As always, the approval of all three shall be required before the final Oath is sworn. We pray for the blessing of the Twelve, and extend the favor of Her Grace upon all those found worthy.
