After how long you stayed up for the last one?! Unbelievable! I was beyond honored Blush

Yes it was.. 5AM for me when I left.. Something like that.. I slept up to 2PM the next day, I was completly tired.. But.. STORIES !
5AM! Dazed I don't know anyone who does that... certainly not me... the past weekend... because... okay I understand Blush.

At one point I thought you went off to bed, but then you were so kind and asked if the event was still going on.

It was to announce the event a last time (or not) in the OpenRP Linkshell before heading to bed ♥

Yay! Laugh The green blur! Plus that is so an ideal color.

If anyone wants to be an official dancer please let me know.

Also I'm willing to make cotton cowls in either a gobbie brown or a meadow green if people would like to be there incognito.

RE: Celebration of The Matron - Star Lin - 11-14-2014

Ah, I would love to attend this but with it being the weekend before Thanksgiving, means that I'll probably be working late.  Looks like Kest is going to miss another event. *sigh*

RE: Celebration of The Matron - Jancis - 11-16-2014

Working in retail a long time myself I understand that. In fact a lot of the best deals are typically the Sunday before Thanksgiving as opposed to Black Friday itself.

Always buy what you really want, not whatever is "saving" money; always spending money in reality anyway. Wink

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything is coming together well and the venue has been cleaned of debris for the welcome of pilgrims!
In fact some pilgrims can be seen time to time as they make their way to Gridania from their respective homes already.
If anyone is interested in being an official dancer or participant in the celebration please drop me a line.
We have a lot of honored guests speaking and performing, blessings to be given, I'm so excited. LaughLaugh
RE: Celebration of The Matron - Jancis - 11-18-2014
Can start spotting pilgrims in the cities time-to-time as they make their way to Gridania.
Particularly in the NA evening. When I'm off work. Just as a coincidence.
Doing a last check-up with the performers and I think the main event will go on a tad longer than Nald'thal's, because we have a lot of honored guests.
Blessings: Those seeking blessings for abundance are welcome to come and speak.
Apples: Apples will be available to all who come. Harvested rich and ripe apples can also be taken as a good omen for the body and a sign of abundance in life be it for family, friends, or oneself. Or for those who don't care for talk of omens... they're simply delicious.
Screenshots and logs will be taken of the event and posted later on the RPC.
RE: Celebration of The Matron - Jancis - 11-19-2014
Made an IC post about how your character can find out about the event.
http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=5431&pid=122805#pid122805
If you would like to have some one-on-one time with your character finding out, please let me know. I have a few pilgrim NPCs that can accommodate or Jancis herself can encourage people to come.
Touching base with all our performers tonight to get ready for the event which is this Saturday (no pressure) and very happy to have so many people to tell stories and share music.
Eee so excited! And nervous, but mostly excited! Laugh
RE: Celebration of The Matron - OttoVann - 11-21-2014
I will be there and I will bring as many people as I can with me. Harems have been alerted.
Be so happy to see Otto there! Laugh I hope everyone enjoys stories and blessings of abundance.
I've had a sneak peek at many of the presentations that's going to happen and it's pretty sweet. So excited!! LaughLaughLaugh
This is a little off-topic, but I heard on the news a bizarre story about a different kind of pilgrimage that happens in real life. Thought you'd appreciate it, Otto and harem attendees.
It's a news article. Nothing fancy.
Jancis has sent letters to everyone she knows about it.
I will not be around this evening, but I'll check the forums as I can later tonight! If you missed the pilgrims I'm sorry. I can do something early Saturday until about a hour before the event if anyone needs.
It's tomorrow... no pressure... I'm okay... no really.
Considering that you're the organizer, here, Jancis... should we put the word out to follow Otto's example?
Yes everyone is welcome to invite their friends and spread the word. Jancis has sent letters to everyone she knows about it.
I put out an IC connection that people can also use if someone doesn't outright tell them.
OOC - A few people have asked for some IC reasons to know about the pilgrimage. So I'm setting up a bit of a scene that people can see and hear about the Nophica event this Saturday.
This is up to free-form so whatever brings your character brings them! Cowls are also available for the quiet listeners.
Performers: Asked by friends or the priests of Nophica to speak on behalf of the Matron.
Pilgrims: Heard it from the local elders, priests, and merchants talking about the pilgrimage. Saw pilgrims along the road or new faces around their common houses and strikes up a conversation to find out. Small maps and Hymns of Nophica are passed out on small slips of parchment.
Anyone who wants to be a Guard or Dancer: A priest of Nophica can ask for volunteers and helpers.
If anyone wants to speak to a Pilgrim IC can contact me. There is a pilgrim in each city and Jancis is also available to ask people to come along. I'll do as many personal invitations as are requested, but it's difficult to outreach to everyone in their preferred style of learning.
RE: Celebration of The Matron - Jancis - 11-22-2014
Reminder for the pilgrimage:
Might want to have the Harvest Dance Emote for it. It is unlocked with this quest:
Any low level people from Ul'dah who need a ride to Gridania need to tell me well in advance before the event for a ride up to the Shroud.
Low level (14 and under) in Limsa are kind of stuck unless they can join a FC that has a house in Lavender Beds.
Screenshots and logs will be taken of the event in intervals so if I'm quiet and not responding, I apologize. Blush
There could be anticipation that the server attacks might happen on the weekend, but we'll definitely make due as best as possible should they hit during the event. Push comes to shove our main goal is to have the performances happen, even if the follow-up role play has to scrapped.
So excited Laugh
Showed up on Kylar Dashiva, my alt, very nicely done Jancis. It was a great ceremony!
I saw you lingering in the back! I think I got a picture.. not sure.
I have 60+ pages of dialogue!
The stories were AMAZING! LaughLaughLaugh Huge thank yous to Jaques, Xenedra, Eva, Telluride & Coraliza, Leanne, Ciel, Chuta, Reinette, Coatleque, and Z'enath as well as everyone who was able to come for any chunk of time.
The interactive play story was fantastic and was so funny and cute at the same time a heart warming story.
The music was wonderful with real songs to hear and experience with. The duet was lovely and there was an original song too which was so sweet.
The stories were all unique and different and hit on many tones which was perfect, also the rain was even on cue so I think a DM was watching. hehehe
People hung around for hours afterwards too I was just floored so thank you for that. I will have pictures and logs up as soon as I can get to them.
