Man after my own heart. I'm much the same. Sweet wines, and then things like margaritas, strawberry daiquiris... Though I'll admit that I'm partial to anything with tequila in it... *cough*

I need to try this Dr Apples.

I really like the Stella Rosa Peach "wine".

I also like mojitos, dark 'n stormies, moscow mules...

Give me a cocktail with lots of sugar that masks the alcohol and I will be drunk soon. >.<

Rum, brought from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico itself.

Having the majority of my family over there has it's perks.

I'm not gonna go by brand.

Beer :
Local micro-breweries or bust. The rest of the stuff just doesn't add up, and if I choose, I refuse to drink a beer under 9%. Extra strong IPA, Imperial Stout or Barley Wine are my choice.

I say local, but I'd say the same regardless of where I am. There's breweries everywhere these days.

Rum :
Brown spiced. I've tried way too many brands and ages to care.

Vodka :
Chilled if it's good.
Screwdriver if it's not.

Whiskey :
Bourbon is my poison of choice, but Kentucky style, not the others. Not a fan of the sour mashes either.

Blended over single-malt, but I've never had quality single-malt other than that one twelve-year I drank which I forgot the name.

I'll break my own rule and mention a dark rum blended scotch from the Benriach that's quite a treat.

Creams :
Maple creams only, and in coffee only. I just use 'em as creamer. On that I'm as Eastern Canadian as they come.

Beers: My favorite craft beer is a tie between Hopdevil and Whirlwind, both brewed by Victory. Commercial stuff is Magic Hat's #9.

Liquors: Mostly rum, mostly shots and always out of doubles. 100 proof Captain Morgan spiced has been in my cabinet a lot lately, though I used to shoot Bacardi 151 like a tank.

Cocktails: Whiskey Sour, though if unavailable I was quite taken with an Amaretto Sour as well. I'm a budding whiskey drinker at best, though.

I've always wanted to try an ice wine. Got any label suggestions? :D

...how have I not posted in this yet.

Beer: Pretty much anything that isn't dominated by hops. I tend to go for the darker bears, like Hefeweizens and Stouts. Franziskaner Weissbier and Guinness Extra Stout are my beers of choice. But I also like a good Flemish Ale, especially the really sour kinds. And a Framboise Lambic is always nice. So really, I just hate hops. If I can't taste the hops, I'll probably drink anything.

Wine: No idea. I honestly haven't had enough to get any kind of taste for what makes a wine "good". I can appreciate a nice port or dessert wine?

Spirits/Liquor/Liqueur: Vodka and Gin are my two go-to choices. I like to go for mojitos or moscow mules if vodka is the choice. A gin and tonic is always nice as well. Recently started using bourbon and whisky more, for things like Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Bitters are good. And then there's this stuff called Bärenjäger that I like to mix with this stuff and it's great on a warm day.

...anyone who knows me knows I have a spending problem. So the alcohol cabinet's always full, even if it's not being drank.

Probably the best ice wine I've had is Inniskillin; Vidal is their classic, but their Riesling is also awesome. It will, however, set you back at least $80 a bottle. Sad (That's a wine, like Sauternes, that I only drink when someone else is paying for it. Smile ) I've also had good luck with German eiswein, though, and it's usually much cheaper. Schmitt Sohne Wines imports one, as silly as this sounds, in a dark blue box that's just labeled "Icewine." It runs around $24 and is pretty good.

While I'm offering recommendations, I also like late harvest muscats. A surprisingly good one of those is Quady Essentia. It's a sweet muscat from California that's got a really fruity flavor.

Beer (or beer-like malt beverage product):  Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade.

Hard liquor:  Vodka or rum shots.

Cocktails:  Vodka cranberry or rum and coke.

I also like wine, sparkling or otherwise, and sake.

RE: Favorite alcoholic beverages? - McBeefâ„¢ - 01-02-2015

Beer: I like most anything, but IPA's are my favorite.

Wine: Cabernet's and sauvignon blanc are my go to wines, though I'll drink anything dry.

For cocktails I prefer anything bourbon based, old fashioned are my favorites.

If anyone ever needs bourbon or scotch recommendations let me know. I spend far too much money on them...

The olde Irish Creme, and a little champagne here and there for sophisticated events.

Because of my medication, I have to plan out when I'm drinking ahead of time to make sure there's as little interaction between the two as possible.

Why? Because if alcohol and my meds mix to any significant degree, I'm dead.

Right on the spot. Game Over. GG, no RE. Dead.

Beer: My favorite. My go-to this time of year is a good porter or stout. I love Old Rasputin imperial Russian stout best. Currently enjoying Stone's "Double Bastard," always a treat. I've also been known to slum it with a few PBR's.

Wine: I'm not big on wine, but wouldn't turn down a good red.

Whiskey: I love both bourbon and Scotch. For bourbon, my favorites are Bulleit and Eagle Rare. For Scotch, the peatier the better, in my book. I almost always have Laphroaig on hand, and for blended I like the Black Grouse.

Adult rootbeer float = rootbeer and Rumchata.

Also Bailey's, Khalua, and green apple Smirnoff ice.

Also.. "pineapple upside-down cake":  pineapple juice, spiced rum, a little buttershots, and a splash of grenadine.

So many good things @.@ I want to try them all! *grabby hands*

Tonight I went out and had a ...Tittos Chocolate Balls? It was a martini with Kahlua, chocolate syrup and crush ice. Shaken and rather frothy. Alcohol didnt start hitting me until after we left the restaurant.

I have little-to-no tolerance for alcohol -- a quarter-glass of wine is enough to get me drunk -- so I typically avoid drinking so I don't make a fool out of myself. What I have tried and liked:
-- Raspberry wine
-- Blueberry wine
-- Lavender wine
-- Honey and rose wine
-- Apple wine
-- Strawberry daiquiris
