RE: Girls Day Out - Martsia - 01-12-2015

SHOOT! Martsia hopped off her chocobo and tried not to look overly disappointed when Melody was going her victory dances. In fact it was pretty cute seeing her so happy. Usually she was strung out due to her brother causing her all sorts of headaches! Her gaze shifted to Jig, who looked a bit down about his loss.

"Good race Mel! But if ye hadn't cheated an touched me chocobo I'd have won!" She laughed hitching Nocodeme up to the nearest designated post. "Alright Jig! It's time for food!" She grinned at the male Lalafell.

RE: Girls Day Out - Jig - 01-13-2015

Not only he lost but Pyro noticed some greens on the road and decided to stop immidiately, causing Jig to fly like a boulder launched from a catapult, landing a few inches before Finish line.

He stood up and crossed the finish line on foot, absolutely embarassed. Then Melody started dancing. He was about to get angry, but instead smiled like a dork seeing her this happy. The realisation of total failure suddenly came in when Martsia asked for a lunch.

"Where? Probably in a kitchen where yo..." he tried to answer sarcastically to Martsia with his usual not so rude, yet totally inapropriate riposte, but noticed Melody's gaze. Gaze that said: "Finish this sentence, I dare you".

"...where yoooou, will see me preparing it."

He didn't dared. He rolled his eyes and looked at his money pouched. Professor cried internally. He had to admit his defeat. That's tough.

"Right after we finish our shopping..."

Sigh. A deep, painful sigh.

RE: Girls Day Out - Martsia - 01-13-2015

Martsia didn't want Jig to start being sassy with her. He was Melody's boyfriend...friend...best friend...significant other? Their behavior was like sweethearts, but yet they weren't all over each other like some other couples tended to be? Jig looked even more disappointed than normal, he must have known of her enormous appetite. She also had a bit of a history with eating her sorrows.

"So yer gonna cook huh? Hopefully better than that cook o ours! I hope you realize I'm gonna be wanting a three course meal an all!" Mar said with a smirk. She walked over to Melody, looking over her list.  "So...after we eat what should we get first?"

RE: Girls Day Out - Melody - 01-14-2015

"It's still morning, Mar." Melody looked at her friend like she was nuts. Did she forget about breakfast?

Noticing Jig's thoroughly downtrodden way of going, she did feel a little bad. The only way he was even keeping up with the girls is because Melody's arms were still around him and Martsia. She was almost having to drag him along. She saw Jig glance at his gil pouch and noticed it looked almost empty.

"I'm sorry, Jig." she says, looking apologetic. "I got caught up in having fun. I'll take care of both you and Mar for lunch." she smiles at both of them, trying to cheer them both up. "Nothing fancy though. I may be paying for all the supplies, but I'm not made of money as Brio likes to think." She makes a crack about her twin, but she'll bring him home a nice pastry.

"Let's get some haggling out of the way first." She stops them near the entrance to Hawker's Alley and pulls out the chef's list first. "Hmm... Standard spices and vegetables, different steaks, fish and shellfish..." Melody trails off, seeming confused at the next one.

"Morbul tentacles?"

RE: Girls Day Out - Jig - 01-14-2015

Jig shook his head on the idea of Melody buying lunch. His pride took enough punches...

"No. It's fine. I can afford some lunch for us. Don't worry." - a devilish smile appeared on his face while saying this like he's got some idea. - "Yes. I can afford some..."

Or maybe he didn't smiled at all? Hard to tell.

"I'm just going to save some money buy buying lesser quality reagents for my recent experiment... Let's see... Bomb Ash... Mhm... Sulfur... Yes... Uh... Fire sands..."

Jig kept mumbling to himself something that sounded like ingredients to make something explosive.

"Oh! As for lunch I would recommend Deep Fried Shroud Bulb Stripes with an Antellope Steak Sandwitches. And of course good old Lemon Balm Tea for a drink. What do you say?"

RE: Girls Day Out - Melody - 01-15-2015

Melody said a silent prayer that he was not going to try to explode anything...or anyone...'Nope. Done thinking about it.'

"Sounds good to me if that's what you really want." she grinned, turning to Martsia. "If we're all settled on the matter shall we get going?"

She starts walking ahead of the other two, leading the way to the vendor stalls and making a beeline to the book-sellers. 'Wait...Wrong one!' she quickly pivoted away before she could pick up any books and made a new beeline down the hall towards the culinary vendor.

She glanced behind her, hoping they hadn't seen that. Judging by their faces, they probably did.

RE: Girls Day Out - Martsia - 01-18-2015

Martsia looked concerned at Jig's list of highly explosive sounding materials, and wondered if Melody was really safe around this guy! Bomb Ash?! This guy had just experienced a Bomb first hand! And he was going to work with this area again? Jig was careless, suicidal? Masochistic?! She shook her head, but started wondering if Mel saw something past that...or if she hadn't noticed these odd things yet? It couldn't be that, Mel was a smart girl. She had to get her mind out of this bad space.

"Any food is good food! I mean there's always after breakfast meals an such!" She laughed, looking around the shops. None of them sold mineral rocks that she needed, and any that did had limited supply....which meant big gil! She saw Jig try to oppose Melody's paying for lunch, and when he said he could pay for some...she realized that she would probably be the one who didn't get food. 'A date...' her mind said, and she grumbled and walked around to a nearby shop stall, not realizing it was the battlecraft supplier. She hated this because she loved looking at all the new axes in stock...all the potential Mordecai's.

It seemed like Melody had a similar problem when it came to shopping, because unconsciously she headed for the book and tome shop. She looked embarassed and glanced back to see if anyone had noticed, and Mar just smiled and laughed.

RE: Girls Day Out - Steel Wolf - 01-19-2015

**IGNOOORE MEEEE**

RE: Girls Day Out [Quick Update!] - Jig - 01-19-2015

Noticing Martsia's concerm Jig approached her with a slightly forced smile. Probably to encourage her a bit that no one's getting to miss the lunch:

"Don't worry, Miss Martsia. I'm going to satisfy your taste too. Hopefully..."

Realising how awkward this statement is, he patted her back carefully, not knowing her reaction. The Professor wasn't a very good guy to be encouraged by... Then , Jig took some interest in those weapons she was checking out. However the interest was honest as... not really.

However, this one white haired dork thought that it will cheer her up somehow. He was a poor comorter.

Why would he do all of this anyway? Jigumundo is a bad and dangerous guy. At least in the terms of personal safety with all this suicidal and explodive tendencies. Maybe a mad man? A mad scientist perhaps?

"Nice Axe" - He finally let it out with an awkward expression of corkiness and dishonesty. Almost like he didn't really know what to say.

RE: Girls Day Out [Quick Update!] - Melody - 01-21-2015

"No can do, lass. I won' sell fer less'n twelve gil per ponze." the stingy vendor looked down his nose at Melody.

"Oooh, no can do?" she sounded like a little smart-ass. "Well, I won't buy for more than six per. I guess I'll have to go visit your competitor down the way and see if he can't do any better. I thought for sure you'd like to make a large sale today, but if you're not willing to work with me..." she shrugs and starts to walk away. The prices weren't much better than this guy's but the product was a lesser quality.

The seller looked at her with scrunched eyebrows. "Large sale? How much were ya needin' ta purchase exactleh?" he sounded more interested.

Melody gave him an annoyed sigh and turned back around, waving her lists. "Quite a bit. But, if you're not willing to work a deal what good does that do you?" she gives him a look that said 'you blew it, buddy' and continued to step away. She knew she called his bluff, but she was going to make him work for it now.

The vendor's eyes twinkled when he saw all the opportunity. "Wait wait wait, lass." he knew he'd been had and waved her back over. "I s'pose I can drop it down to ten per..." he said sounding slightly defeated.

"Now we're talking." she beamed and bounced back over to talk business.

She glanced down the hall briefly to see the professor and Martsia looking at axes. Mar's eyes looked greedy and Jigumundo looked like he was forcing himself for some reason.

'Least they seem to be getting along now...maybe?' she grinned and went back to haggling.

RE: Girls Day Out - E'jusana - 01-26-2015

Ana had traveled to Hawkers alley on her icy-blue bird, Terra, with a smile and a short list of things she needed for the Midnight Moogle's garden.

Ana had been itching to start a garden ever since the Adagio's hired her a few months ago. The two sad plots had old, dry dirt and remnants of someone trying to grow something but all that was left were dried up twigs of whatever poor plants they were. But, she had finally saved up enough money and decided to go down to the markets to purchase the things she needed to refresh the old gardens.

Once there Ana begun perusing the stalls and looked for the things she needed with her large woven basket in the crook of her arm. Hm, alright. Let's see here: topsoil, seeds, trowel, bonemeal, and a cute sun hat! She thought as she mentally reviewed her list with a bright and happy expression and a skip in her step. Just then several brightly colored ribbons dancing around sunny yellow brims caught her eye. "Oh! How pretty!" she said as she carefully lifted a hat from it's resting place. It was a beautiful straw hat with a wide brim and a bright yellow ribbon tied in a bow. Ana inspected the hat and placed it on her head making sure her ears fit, a common problem with hats for the Miqo'te, and smiled as it fit nicely.

Ana tried a few hats on finally deciding on one. It had a beautiful wine-red ribbon and an over sized bow with tails that hung off the edge of the large brimmed hat. As Ana gave the coins to the merchant she heard a familiar voice from a few stalls away. She thanked the merchant and started off in the direction of the familiar Lalafell's voice with her new purchase in hand.

As Ana reached the stall she saw the familiar Lalafell finish haggling with a merchant and reaching for her coin purse. "Miss Adagio!" Ana said with a smile in her voice. "How nice to meet you here. Purchasing things for the cook are you?"

RE: Girls Day Out - Martsia - 01-27-2015

Martsia beamed up at the professor in delight.

"This axe is a double header, pure iron ore, none of that sand an other minerals stuff!" She said rapidly, the man at the shop grinned widely. "But!" She put it back down into its slot. "A pure iron weapon is prone to breakage! It looks pretty! But it only has a few true uses on the battlefield!"

Mar looked over and picked up a more rustic looking axe and held it in her hands.

"This one is heavier, which COULD be a disadvantage...but mix iron with carbon and ye get steel!! Heavier, but less breakage in true battle! I mean look at the bit! Great point on it right?! And look at the poll! Got a nice pointed blunt edge on it! Great for breaking...things!" She turned to the seller and handed over the Gil to pay for it and pulled Mordecai #12 off of her back hoister and held them out in comparison. Mordecai #12 looked beaten up within an inch of its life. "Mord12 is an iron sand mineral mix, it lasted a while...but Mord13 will last much longer!" Mar said attaching both to her holster and smiling at Jig. "Pretty nice stuff huh?!"

RE: Girls Day Out - Jig - 02-04-2015

The Professor was positively surprised by Martsia's sudden geek-talk, regardless of the subject being not his field of knowledge, nor interest. He tried, however, to retort.

"And what do you think about using Mythril? It's lighter and tougher than regular steel or iron. It doesn't need to be tempered much... and is no alloy. Pure destructive power in a blade even I'm capable o holding... Using it properly is other story. I just think axe suit you better, Miss Martsia. I'm impressed."

Despite warm words, Jigumundo spared Martsia any smile. He just looked at her with slightly squinted eyes and raised eyebrows. Professor proceeded to watch some other fine pieces of crafting the merchant had to offer but failed to find anything of his interest.

"This is a weapon stand... I need some alchemical reagents." - he mumbled to himself and turned away just to notice Ana.

"Look, Miss Martsia... isn't that Miss Ana?"

RE: Girls Day Out - Melody - 02-05-2015

Melody gave the worked-over vendor a mischievous grin and tip-toed to shake his hand, sealing the deal.

"I knew we could come to an agreement." she rubbed it in his face.

Grumbling, the man barely even tried to reach over far enough to shake her tiny hand. She made sure to hop off her feet to forcibly grab it. This made him grumble even more, and give her a dark look.

Ana Wrote:"Miss Adagio!"

Melody stopped in the middle of counting out her Gil when she heard a familiar voice. "Hm?" she looked over her shoulder, turning in a small circle and scanning the crowd back and forth until her eyes found Ana walking towards her. Her face brightened and she waved her employee over.

Ana Wrote:"How nice to meet you here. Purchasing things for the cook are you?"

"Yes, and I just finished finalizing a deal for most of his list. There are a few things on it that are...let's just say, not normal." she showed Ana what she meant:

Morbul tentacles
Eft tongue
Chinchilla livers
Treant Sap

"Not sure if a couple of those things are really obtainable through legal means..." she looks over the items warily and quickly hides the list from any onlookers. The vendor was clearing his throat and tapping his foot, still waiting on the rest of his payment. "Oh, sorry. One moment, Ana." Melody turns back around to finish paying the man.

RE: Girls Day Out - E'jusana - 02-11-2015

Ana quickly looked at the list Miss Adagio briefly showed her. As the sun kissed lalafell hid the piece of parchment Ana frowned saying "I'm familiar with the treant sap and the chinchilla liver but-" she paused as she thought of eating morborl tentacles or eft tongue. As she pictured these things Ana's nose scrunched up in disgust and her face turned a bit green. "-the other two do not sound appetizing at all. What does he plan on making with those items, some horrid concoction to make us all ill?"

As she waited for Miss Adagio to gather her things Ana placed her newly purchased hat upon her head and gently swayed while daydreaming. As the ribbons of her new hat danced in the wind with her garnet hair she thought of her mother's Trap Soup next to warm walnut bread. "Mmmm" she thought, unintentionally, out loud as her mouth started to water while thinking of the delicious meal.
