Personally I think the armor and clothing in XIV is fantastic. It strikes a perfect balance between realistic/practical and ornate. I especially like how female armour is actual armour in most cases. Unlike most other MMORPGs where female "armour" is a metal bikini with glowing spiked shoulderpads that shoot lava or something. I absolutely hate that kind of stuff.
(Dragoon relic armour being an exception for all counts. They should have kept the XI style.)

That hat is quite literally the reason I leveled Weaving.  xD

Well, I do love that top, more on males than on females ^^; (the female version looks like some sort of underwear, it's not very detailed).
I like it when fashion for males isn't limited.

I don't know about anyone else but the battlemage set is teh sexiest. At least in my head(I've been hunting the battlemage's robe for days).

I love the Acolyte's Set I got from the first few dungeons. Grinded them for a couple of days to finally get the body piece. XD

This is the Vanya robe. They actually have one for THM as well as one for CON. It is level 50 gear, and in 1.0 it was crafted. I have it in Purple:

It's hard for me to narrow my favorites down. There's a lot of outfits I like for one reason or another.
I generally like simpler designs, but I totally fell in love with the Infantry set. (Drops in Brayflox's Longstop)

I've also taken up leatherworking in the hopes that I can one day make whatever this is that the guild head is wearing. Definitely one of my favs.

Tell me about it! I pretty much avoid games where practical armor on a dude turns into a bikini on my female toon. In FFXIV, I love that the skimpy armor on the girls is also the skimpy armor on the boys, for the most part. Equality!
