Mining obsidian is cheating. You get more satisfaction from lava/water buckets and attempting to "cast" your portal out of a cobblestone mould!

Found an underwater end-portal. Also found a netherportal from someone who escaped a nether fortress D: Or rather, I hope they escaped.
Will venture on soon to find a village, I'll leave a trail so that I can connect it to the bridge eventually.. I quite like leaving an actual path behind me xD And when I get enough stuff for it, there will be rails too
I'm also obsessed about making mines look neat.

All I've done the past night is strip-mine under my island.
Also, I have a ton of wheat production for bread if anyone needs cheap food.
Next project, an auto-forge to pump out cheap bricks.

That's the new ice forest biome. I tried to find a map generator to spit out the level in an HTML page, but nothing's been updated for 1.8 yet!

Some blocks around spawn cant be punched. I suspect it may either be a bug or some variation of spawn protection
Have you tried following one of the bridges out to see if you can punch stuff in other places?

Of course. It's set for 32 people right now. I've seen 3 at once. We're usually in FF XIV instead
Feel free to wander off and do whatever. If you need food, my place in the swamp to the east of the starting island has lots of wheat and carrots. Soon to be chicken and rabbit as well.
