RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - cuideag - 07-16-2015 Yes. Not the sort that gets parades (though she might attend Evangeline's when her's rolls around) or accolades or even thanks, really. Chances are no one will really acknowledge her at all, given her Unpopular Opinions and the often violent ways she goes about them. Deep in her little heart, though, she knows she's fighting the good fight for the betterment of her nation. She's believed it so long that she couldn't possible be mistaken after all...!! RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - CrimsonMars - 07-16-2015 No. Chiyo is generally caring and sympathetic towards other especially her love ones, even going as far as risking herself for helping some people she doesn't know, but she finds the title in itself overrated. In fact, to her, the word "hero" is more insulting than the word, "bitch." She hates it. She thinks it is a dumb title that belongs in stories. Even going as far as to call it a joke. If Chiyo herself is called one, she'll deny it. Chiyo does have people she looks up to, but she doesn't consider them "heroes" either. She especially looks down upon others who would do things just to say they are or be called one. Chiyo does what she feels is right, not to be a hero. She's no "girl scout." Btw, if she ever meets someone like Chachan, she'll make fun of them to no end. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Cailean Lockwood - 07-17-2015 No, not really. Vachir isn't a bad guy, he just doesn't see the point of "fame and glory". He just does what he does, and if it helps some people, then that's nice. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Vodka Tears - 07-17-2015 Nope, Nergui's believes everyone should be able to solve their own problems. People are nice and all, and if he happens to encounter someone in trouble, he might help, but ultimately it's not his problem. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - A'kos Saiyal - 07-17-2015 A'kos I think would like to be a hero, but wouldn't want all the fame it could bring. Small scale attention is fine, wider reaching attention is a death trap in the making. He's been the other guy, that figure that may not be a villain, but did some nasty things for poor reasons. 'Following orders' doesn't really make up for it, but when it's all you've known then what?. That's his thinking, but he's had his wake up call and thinks being something like a hero may be the way to go. So he wants to help others, and fight for a good cause. Wealth, (quiet) glory and a beautiful woman or two at his side would be great bonus' but right now he wants something to believe in, wants to feel like he's doing the right thing, and maybe make someone else's life better along the way. And fight stuff, because that never gets old. ![]() RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Viola - 07-17-2015 Viola has no interest. She's experienced what happens when others "play the hero"; her blade in their chest for acting like their self-sacrifice will change the fact that those who are being judged will most likely find themselves executed for the crimes they have commited against others. She has no love of fame, fortune or any other thing attributed to being a hero. She does the work she's trained to do, and if it means some overt massacre, she's going to commit to it without a second thought. That is to say she isn't out of control, because she isn't. All her "father" has to do is say something and she'll comply with it, no exception. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Qhora Bajihri - 07-20-2015 She's aspired to be exactly the opposite, to hurt as many people as she can and legitimately get away with it. These days, she's aspiring to be something a lot more normal, but the bright light makes her blink a lot. So hero? Nope, not on her to-do list. She'll be moving from harmful to helpful, but if hero's anywhere in the cards, it's a far flung future, I'd think. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - ChewableMorphine - 07-20-2015 -snip for supposed virus tucked in that picture, ruh oh- RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Paradox - 07-20-2015 Ark aspired to be a hero once, because of how he viewed heroes and where he came from. But after adventuring in the 'hero' fashion for a good number of years, it left a bitter taste for him because he learned what Archer from Fate/Stay Night did; in order to save one or more, you need to let at least another die. There's no way to save everyone. The world moves on without you. So then he tried the opposite for a while. Went the dark road. Found out it's the same principle, but in reverse. You just end up killing 'heroes' who are ignorant of the real nature of the world's amoral reality. So he basically became self-serving and lives for his own whims but has a specific code of things he will and will not do and will and will not abide. Not a hero or a villain, not really good or evil. Ark's the kind of guy that will sacrifice for his family and defend them, but also withdraw his protection if he thinks they're depending too much on him so they can do it themselves. He's quite contradictory in a lot of instances, and more than a little unstable. A 'hero' is just someone who the weak put all their expectations on, and a 'villain' is someone who has a cause that bothers the sensibilities of others in pursuit of an obsessive goal they think is good or just. They're cut from the same cloth to him, having seen both sides, so he currently simply prefers the role of an 'individual seeking his own goals'. RE: Does your Character aspire to be a Hero? - Dante Abigor - 07-20-2015 The short answer is no. Eligor has appeared to be a hero to quite a few people over time, and he has also seemed to be an irredeemable villain in the eyes of even more. All he actively aspires to is more power and keeping the little world around himself from exploding into a violent and bloody mist, and will do anything he can to achieve that, no matter what anyone else might feel or think. |
