Also don't take the route of "Oh I generalized you into a category, but don't get mad because I didn't mention you specififcally." And then accuse them of failed reading comprehension. Shit's low man.
PvE Mechanics are PvE Mechanics man, Fighting skill doesn't come from size whose to say that Lalafell isn't a really calm collected Marauder, and he beats the Roe because through the fury of the Roe's inner beast he kept is calm and looked for opening using his speed and size as an advantage.

There are creative writing ways for any race to defeat any race at any time. Not just "LOLZ I hit U hard."  Just because a Lala looks cute and silly doesn't mean they can't be an extremely accomplished fighter.

That doesn't change that they would have had to have had some Hellsguard influence to have become a Warrior, whether taught by someone who learned from some one who learned from a Hellsgaurd, or learned directly, or discovered an ancient cache of Hellsguard writings.

Those are all examples of learning from a Hellsguard. You would still learn from one in some fashion whether through passed down teachings etc or directly. To deny that is to say LOLZ lore U no matter.

I'm very, very interested in playing a Roegadyn.  I have this idea that a baby Roe was found and raised by a family of Keepers.  So they have a Keeper name and adhere to the traditions (tries to sleep all day) but as they get older and taller and taller and taller, it becomes clear that they don't belong (despite everyone saying they do).

The Roe leaves to see what life outside their Keeper family can be.

I really wish I'd thought of this in the first place, but I was hellbent on playing a Miqo'te.

Oh well.

You can be a big tough guy ICly, even in defeat. It's possible to lose a fight and do it amazingly enough that you maintain your presence. I think it comes across as much more beneficial to their rp when the big guy, the huge, monstrous Roegadyn, in this case, rps him falling to the earth with a massive thud after an attack, thus cementing the magnitude of who they were in the fight to begin with, rather than no-selling the attack because "LOL, I am huge." It makes both guys look good in this fight.

Goliath wasn't any less huge for losing to David.

Wait why did you snip quote me. Go reread what I said. I said the smaller guy could defeat the big guy. XD I seriously have no idea where that came from quoting me.

I wasn't arguing against you, actually, but rather, complimenting your argument and making an important point.

I snipped it because huge post would've been huge.

Not to get all egghead bottle glasses on anyone, but according to Malcolm Gladwell, Goliath never had a chance.

tl;dr: Goliath brought a knife to a gunfight and David gunned him down.

Uh-huh. Giant's legacy was that he was never pinned on TV until Hulk Hogan came along and body slammed him in front of one hundred and fifty seven million people at Wrestlemania 3. This is precisely why they retconned that loss and never, ever acknowledged it. It would have made him less.

You picked a bad example.

Edit edit: Andre's most famous moment in his career is losing to Hulk Hogan.

Even though I voted for Highlander (I have so many Middies, it's not even funny), this also intrigues me.

Question is... Sea Wolf or Hellsguard...?
