He will cleave her in twain with SlaughterRoar, his greatsword forged from the bones of a god, heated by the fires of hell, stoked by the last breath of a dying world. The sound of it sliding from it's scabbard is enough to drive lesser mortals mad. Just don't freakin' whine when I treat you like an NPC, nor join you in the effort, capiche? That's fine. Us NPCs have made it this far on our own, I think we'll be just fine. Just don't whine when we in turn treat you like a ridiculous, delusional asshat that believes themselves to be bad fanfic-tier levels of powerful. Not that there's anything wrong with playing an amped-up, powerful character, but I think I could do without that high-and-mighty attitude, thanks. That's not an excuse, but I will say that I think this notion of the overpowered Mary Sue characters being a scourge upon the community is kind of a strawman. To be perfectly honest, I see far less of those players than I do players who elect to be extraordinarily nitpicky about every character that isn't their own. Further discussion can be had in new topics. [/Moderator Hardhat] |
