RE: Good things that happened to you today - Sailor July - 05-24-2015 I've been having a bad day, a head-holding, sobbing, depression and anxiety filled day. So Jen and I talked, and she cheered me up, and she suggested we have a tent night.
We have a fenced in garden in the backyard, which right now is just dirt because... Utah. That's why. So we set up the tent, moved the fire pit into the garden and will sit out there with the fire, and manga, and journals, and tarot cards and a good board game or a few. I can't wait. Just escaping with her, sitting outside, doing nothing but enjoying the silence and the open space. It's bliss. RE: Good things that happened to you today - Maril - 05-26-2015 For the past 7+ years I've been experiencing my feet going sore after relatively little activity, 3-4 hrs of walking for example. I finally decided to tell a family member about these woes, and they reveal that they have footsies problems too. They tell me a place to go to, which takes prints of your feet and figure out if you have any symptoms for foot problems. I went there today and the whole thing took like 15 mins.. TLDR: I have high arches. I got insoles for my shoes and they help a lot. It wasn't even that expensive. It's a good thing I finally got it sorted. It has been an issue for so long that I thought this was /normal/ - it wasn't until last year that I slowly started to realize that other people do not have THAT sore feet after so little activity. RE: Good things that happened to you today - Kurt S. - 05-26-2015 Feels good standing up for the little guy. So we're doing a WP HM run. Tank was fresh, Bard was decently geared and I was a flat i100. The healer, a WHM, was decked in full Dreadwyrm's including a zeta sporting Aug'd IW gear. Run starts, everything goes to shit. Healer is like berating all of us for being noobs. I take note of what he was doing the next go round. He's in cleric stance. I say nothing just yet. The tank, being so fresh was obviously feeling the pressure. He kept apologizing when he did nothing wrong, because I see him pop his cd's and holmgang things when it just got too dicey. Now that was beginning to bug me because you don't get that many people willing to tank anything these days and he's still getting shit for doing his job. We, meaning I, managed to 1v1 the first boss through some miracle. Healer starts berating us again. Halfway through the run the healer goes something like this. I tried to make sense of his less than average english. "Hey drg, I'm out dpsing you as a healer." "And?" "So that means you suck. -insert more epeen waving-" That's when I decided to tear him a new one for the sake of the entire team. "I won't deny that, but look at my gear versus yours. A zenith versus a zeta and pointing out higher dps? I smell a tryhard. I'm also not decked in Dreadwyrms but I think I have enough common sense to be a healer and not run cleric stance 24/7 SINCE THE START OF THE RUN. Did you know I'm a better healer then? Because my basic thrusts paired with bloodbath heals for way more than you could ever recover." "It's not like the tank would say anything though, he's been apologizing for his 'shitty' tanking this run when he's not doing anything wrong. He's pulling at his pace and you're just making the run harder by pulling more than he can handle and churn out less than average heals I think a BLM physickspamming heals for more." *Initiates vote dismiss* *Dismisses healer* *Gets a lower geared healer, probably not higher than i100. Finishes run without any further deaths.* *Gives a few tips to the tank.* It geels good to stand up for others. Also to help out the newer wave of aspiring tanks. RE: Good things that happened to you today - Chris Ganale - 05-26-2015 I wonder if that was the same shit healer I got on Chao yesterday. Very similar actions, not as much epeen tho, until I called her out on her bullshit. |
