Hydaelyn Engineering - Kurt S. - 02-20-2015

So yeah I'm already entertaining the notion of turning Kurt into a Warrior Machinist. Now even if we don't have much lore for them yet, I don't doubt that they'd involve a good deal of engineering as well probably adopting the technological advances of either Eorzea or Garlemald.

So here's my question. Do any of you have like sources I can use to brush up on Eorzean tech and magitek? I want to work that knowledge in via Kurt studying them however and whenever he can, through discarded literature or maybe even random tinkering with his axe on a "neutralized" vanguard.

I mean as it stands, the way I'm having Kurt learn tech is through precision axe work and handbooks/operations manuals dropped by dead Garlean engineers whenever he's sent with a few others to maybe harass a patrol or installment or outpost. I'm pretty sure I'm stretching things with that method.

I could also try to draw on what I can remember from my engineering classes before I shifted out to an IT degree but I still think Hydaelyn has it's own way methodology when it comes to engineering things.

We have an out of commission Magitek Armour at the house... really, you should talk to me about this stuff Tongue

plus Nako tinkers around a bit, so we can discuss this further

Something tells me the Machinist questline is going to provide the answers you need.

Like all things Heavensward, for that matter... waiting is the name of the game. No need to rush it.

Yes I should do that more.

Yeah know waiting for the game to make sense of the Machinist but I still kinda want to make Kurt study whatever piece of tech he can as early as possible but I'm none too familiar with the properties of Eorzean tech versus Garlean tech and what might set them apart and all that.
