Kitty Tales [closed] - Nebbs - 05-05-2015

Free again, Jeremy hopped atop the lilly pad and took another juicy fly from the air with his long long tongue. Yes life was good, cool water on his back a pick of juicy flies and no dragons to fight. Being a frog was certainly the best way to live.

As he sucked on the fly he remembered how hard the life of a prince was. Fighting dragons to rescue princesses was hard and generally fatal work. Why just having to ride a horse, and wear armour was enough to make him ribbit in annoyance.

So when he had kissed the enchanted dragon rather than the princess the True Love magic had backfired. Magic did not take kindly to those who flaunted such disregard for  the rules. So a frog he now was, and could not be happier.

Prince Jeremy decided he spent too much time thinking and really had his eye on an especially juicy fly.

Nebula splashed through the pond her hobnail boots sending waves across the water, and in a practice's swipe grabbed the frog.

"Gotcha! You naughty frog, how can I find your princess if you keep hopping away?"

Weather a frog can understand speech or even talk made no difference because a witch only hears what is useful. So with little thought Nebula popped the frog into her hat and then pulled it back on her head.

Continuing through the pond and out of the other side Nebula strode towards the town of Gridania with a happy heart and a song on her lips, to meet her own princess.

The sunny day and a little spell soon dried her out by the time she entered the gates of the town, the guards looking the other way not wanting to interfere with the business of a witch, which by all accounts is all the business that is no one else's business because someone has to make it their business.

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - T'caska Khevo - 05-05-2015

Eos was having the time of her life, floating out over the small pond in the back of Gridania. She loved annoying T'caska and she was good at it. Her rebellious and defiant personality caused the young Miqo'te so much frustration and it was the funniest thing in Eorzea.

"No No No No No No!" yelled T'caska. She stood on a log jutting out from the bank and stomped her feet like a kit. "She said she likes fish and, and there's the fattest one I've ever seen in here!" pointing to the water as she stares down Eos, "Stop being so hard headed and help me!" Cass was rubbish as fishing and was more drawn to the red meats but Nebula had said she liked fish, a lot, so she was determined to get at least one of the beasts for a meal.

"Oh Twelve! There he is!" she cried out to Eos as a fat and slow fish came swirling around between the two of them, totally within pouncing range, "Distract him and I'll get 'em!"

Eos sighs and moved down near the water. She spun a few times a shot out a couple bright yellow sparks in the air above her. The fish saw and lumbered closer to her, opening and closing its mouth widely as it stared her down. Was this oaf flirting with her? Fairies and Fish would never work out! "Its trying to kiss me!" she yelled back to Cass.

T'caska stopped and squinched her face up, "What?" she asks then shrugged it off and got low. Her head and shoulders went down and her butt, hips, and tail went high. She began to wiggle. Its pouncin' time kids. And with that, T'caska launched herself with all her might, nails out, tail high, eyes locked on Nebula's dinner. The mossy and waterlogged.. log had other ideas though and both her feet slipped out neatly behind her. All in all T'caska pounced a little more than a fulm and she dropped flat into the water with a loud splash and a yelp. Of course, the fish took off.

Eos couldn't take it anymore, this was great. She threw her head back and spun around in uncontrollable laughter at the now wet Miqo that sat in the water before her. She pointed and guffawed and giggled and.. and.. Hey! Eos looked around the water, peering deeply into it with her hands on her hips, where had her boyfriend gone?

A Witch has a twitch like an itch on their nose that makes them know where to point their toes.

It was Nebula's twitching nose that led her to Cass. The scene made her want to giggle and jump in the stream to splash too, but she was a witch and there were people watching.

Nebbs stood there with a frown and her arms crossed. A witch frowning is a thing to be wary of as even rocks have broken down and cried when faced with such attention. Her pointy hat and robes, even her hobnail boots seemed to become more real than anything around. She had almost mastered the imposition of the witches will, except for her bushy tail that wagged and thumped as if she had jumped in the stream with Cass.

Nebbs looks at Cass' fairy, "Should I ask? Can I not leave you two alone for five moments?"

Glancing down at Cass, "You will scare the fish honey, and some of them bite... , I brought cakes"

She jiggles the little box that would have the sweet creamy goodies in.

"Should I wait for you or do you want splash some more"

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - T'caska Khevo - 05-06-2015

T'caska sat there in the water, momentarily downtrodden and sick with failure while she glared at Eos. Cass was drenched and while she had grown to enjoy the rain after living in Gridania for so long, sitting in water with her clothes on was something this Seeker did not enjoy enjoy. She jabbed a finger through the air at Eos and mouthed the words 'I'm gunna get you for this'.

Eos was having problems of her own. She was bouncing along the water's surface, looking at the different fish faces and crying out for her fish... the one that tried to kiss her! Oh he was so dreamy and Eos wanted him to come back. Why did T'caska have to scare him off after things were starting to go so well? Eos shot a look back to Cass and mouthed the words 'This isn't over' as she saw Nebula approaching. She stopped her panicking and floated over to the bank where she sat on a rock and continued to scan the water. Eos would defy Cass all day but Cass was no witch, Nebula was a witch and Eos was a smart like sprite.

Standing up and looking down at herself just made Cass huff more as she turned towards Nebula, "Why doesn't she just do what I tell her to?" she cried out as she trudged toward the bank, "I just don't get it!". "And it isn't my fault.. I slipped!"

Once on land again, Cass wiggled her fingers. She was by no means skilled conjurer but she had picked up a few things from the guild and Eos when she wasn't being completely impossible. Small random and uneven gusts of winds fluttered around her as she tried to dry herself off and it worked for the most part, except messing up her hair pushing her skirt up, at which she yelped.

Once confident she was dry, Cass ran to Nebula and threw her arms around the woman in a much forceful way. Cass had seen Nebula's softer side as well as her 'witch in public' side but none of it mattered to her. This was her Nebula and she liked showing off.

"Cakes?"

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - Nebbs - 05-06-2015

Nebula watched Cass with a frown but behind that she smiled and felt a calm sense of happiness, Cass was such a free spirit, uncertain and nervous. Yet she was strong, when she had her mind on something she was the strongest person Nebula knew. They complemented each other well she though, for her own confidence was clear, she just felt shy at imposing it. Cass allowed her to do that and feel more centred in herself.

She held her frown at the question, about Eos. "She reflects your own feelings, like a mirror. You could almost think she was your conscience". Nebbs smiled at Eos, "I hope you are keeping her out of trouble."

She did let her eyes scan Cass up and down as the zephyr of the spell dried her off, and she wished that she herself were so pretty but resigned herself to being thankful that Cass at least found her attractive. She had to cover up  a giggle when Cass yelped, it was so cute. It was good that witches were not known for being pretty, you really didn't want all those love sick people wanting love potions to fall for the witch instead, yes she was better being the plain dumpling of a girl from the shroud.

The hug was welcome and Nebula returned the nussling but held the arm with the cakes out of the way. "Yes cakes, we just need a nice place to sit and eat them, I was going to suggest the lancers practice area. You can then explain to me why a grown woman is frolicking in the stream? Or do I not want to know".

While Nebula's tone was stern, her tail gave away the fact that she secretly wanted to do just that, and was wondering if she could use the same excuse.

Nebbs looked into Cass eyes, and was intermediately lost in their blue deaths as always, smiled and waited for Cass response.

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - T'caska Khevo - 05-06-2015

T'caska hung there for a bit, her arms wrapped around Nebula's neck and her tail flopping about peacefully. Nebbs had that look, that witchy look that could stop the rain or make a rock cry, but Cass could see right through it. All she saw was the soft and gentle woman that few others have been lucky enough to glimpse.

Eos perked up her ears quickly when she realized she was being addressed and she planted her hands on her hips and leaned forward to respond to Nebbs' words but decided it wasn't worth it and just rolled her eyes instead. Cass was a lost cause and she cursed the Miqo'te under her breathe, very quietly under her breath so that the witch didn't hear it.

Cass nodded quickly and pulled on Nebula's arm toward the spot she spot of. She looked back toward Eos just to see her disappear in a swirling implosion of yellow sparks and huffed. "I wasn't frolicking! I was fishing!" she smiled proudly but then remembered she caught nothing, "It doesn't always work out the way I plan though..."

Finding a good spot to sit, she flopped down and pulled Nebbs next to her then flopped down more, laying her head in the woman's lap. One of her hands drifted up to twirl around one of Nebula's soft blue dreads and she smiled, happy about where she was and who she was with.

It feels good to belong to someone, especially when they are so lip-quivering gorgeous.

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - Nebbs - 05-07-2015

Nebula sat down with Cass to watch the lancers practice, on a sunny Gridania day was rather nice. They were always showing off, the glint of the sun off their blades and the ornate armor making them look fierce, even the grunting and screams were not out of place. She idly played with Cass hair as her thoughts turned from her sweet to sweets.

Cake, wonderful, glorious, taste bud enchanting cake! Nebula freed the top of the box and thought a moment her fingers dancing over the selection on offer, "Oooh let me see.. ah yes this one", she selected the prize. She held out the moist sponge filled with cream and jam, topped with delicate icing and little wings of sweet pastry on top. "Such a delicate things" and chomp, she bit it in half.

Nebbs looked down again at Cass, with a smile of delight from the cake along with a mmmmmmm of yumminess. Then she slowly lowered the remaining half to Cass so she could have the rest. And the cake was almost at her mouth when the scream went up.

Nebula immediately looked up to see a lancer with two arrows in his chest hit the floor, as others started running in the direction of the market, Nebula was up almost in an instant the cake dropped lust like Cass head, "Oh the Twelve Cass, someone been shot." And she started a stride in that direction her hand reaching for her trusty wand.

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - T'caska Khevo - 05-07-2015

T'caska yelped as her head hit the ground and a bit of cake bounced off her forehead. She then shot to her feet and ran along with Nebula, summoning Eos as quickly as she could.

Eos arrived in a huff, a small piece of meat hanging from her mouth. She saw the seriousness of the situation and hurried along to Cass' shoulder. Once she landed she raised her hands in fisticuffs and darted her head back and forth, searching for what might be causing the commotion.

Wiping the cream from her forehead, T'caska stood slightly behind the witch, knowing which of them was more powerful but also pulling the grimoire from her hip. The pages began to flutter as if on they're own and looked around, scanning the trees and other surrounding areas for more arrows or even the one firing them off.

"This isn't good, Nebula..." she whispered, "Who would attack here? And in daylight?"

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - Nebbs - 05-08-2015

Peoples' first reaction was to flee, but when there were no more arrows they crept back to see the injured or dead lancer, crowding round.

Nebula was fully focused on the lancer and his wounds, which were severe, she stopped the bleeding and fought to stabilize him with her magics. It was a carefully delicate process to extract the arrow and set the healing place as it withdrew, but Nebula managed this. When she had extracted the two arrows, there were some Conjurers on the scene that moved in and took over taking Nebula and whisking the stabilized lancer away.

The crowed did not seem to know what to do and drifted away leaving an exhausted Nebula looking up at Cass, who herself noted the ones who ran after whoever made the shots returning empty handed.

RE: Kitty Tales [closed] - Nebbs - 05-16-2015

The ones who had run off so fast came ambling back looking dejected, with the crowed gone only T'Caska and Nebula were left, so they walked up to T'caska, one of them stepping closest.

"They got away, what happened to Cledge? He's not?" the lancer left that question hanging unsure if his comrade had made it or not.

Nebula still knelt on the floor, drained by the work.
