It's in the right ballpark. The website told me 5, so that's pretty close. It's essentially just a very large update to begin with. All the core functionality is already there.

I am kinda glad they are allowing us to download it before early access hits; I'm secretly hoping for the dataminers to go nuts on reddit soon.

was going to say, going by WoW expansions:
  • BC: 10GB
  • WotLK: 15GB
  • Cata: 25GB
and given that it states on the site:

20 gigs is about how much space the game is going to take, total, I think. 4.3 for the expansion, and my install folder weighs in at 14.5 pre-update.

Could be wrong though.

Remember that download amount =/= install amount, as the download amount is compressed so you don't have to spend a shit ton of time and money that's not needed. Around 5gb sounds right for an expansion since most steam games that are 15-20gb in size installing are between 5-8gb in download size.
