hello, trying to surprise a friend by getting him on Balmung on his birthday. is their a way to pay for his transfer for him?

You'd need his account information and be able to log into the mog station as him. Â I don't know of a way to buy a transfer as a gift.

thank you for the reply though. I'll see if there is anyother way, maybe send him the money by a method that FFXIV uses?

There used to be "crysta", which was a currency to pay for FFXIV stuff in 1.0. It was awful.
If you want to pay for a server transfer for your friend, I would probably go about it in a slightly more cheesy way.
Make a fake certificate! (And on the day of, have your friend login and then you can complete the rest).
