Roleplay in Hyperion? - TFN928 - 09-03-2015
A friend of mine wanted to get a big PvE group made in Hyperion, and convinced me to transfer my character over from Balmung. Â It's pretty quiet in Hyperion though, compared to Balmung, without all the RP'ers about. Â I was wondering if there even is a roleplay community on Hyperion, because as much as I enjoy PvE'ing with friends, it'd be sweet to take a break and just RP with some people.

Part of me wants to go back to Balmung, but I don't wanna ditch my friends. Â Heh, oh well. Â If nothing else, I know some of them are into RP, or open to trying it at least, so maybe I can get my fix.

As far as I know, Balmung and Gilgamesh are the only servers with actual roleplay-centric communities. There absolutely are roleplayers (or at least people open to doing so) scattered about other servers, but short of getting your friends into it, it's not likely you'll find much luck. Who knows, though? You could ask around, get others interested, and maybe make a linkshell for it. You don't need a huge community to have fun with RP so long as you find a nice group of people.
Hyperion does have at least one RP-friendly FC in Tonberry Cutlery Inc, but I'm not sure how active they are. Either way it's a good place to start!

True enough. Â It was just so cool in Balmung to run around cities or go out questing and see people IC just doing their thing.
I remember hearing about that FC, as well as another that was trying to start up and become a hub for RP'ers to find FCs or Linkshells, not sure what happened to that FC though -- last I heard of it was almost a year ago.
I'll have to spend some time visiting everywhere and searching for peeps.

Other than someone inadvertently letting slip that they were at some sort of unmentionable rp event, I've never seen any rp on Hyperion, ever.

It's true, whenever I walk by Virara on HYP our characters just stoically nod at each other. We know what goes on beneath the PvE gear set.

There are RPers on Hyperion. I came from there, myself. The groups are small, but since they're not as likely to RP openly as they do on Balmung they can be hard to spot. I can give you a name of someone to look for, though I'm not sure if they still actively RP or not: Ysara Ai'yrn.
I RPed with him and a handful of others before I came to Balmung. If you do find him, please give him a hug and tell him Ciel Wulfe says hello. I miss him and the others.

Ah your the opposite case when i started FF me and 30 friends started on behemoth following my half brother. IF i didnt have my FC and such id scuttle to balmung but at the same time we have our own fun on behemoth. Hoenstly do what makes you happiest owo)/
