Yes there are several hairstyles that require gold saucer coins to unlock.

The low ponytail, afro, and contest winner styles are obtained with MGP.
Others that aren't immediately available are the eternal bond styles, Minfilia's hair which has to be purchased with the outfit through mogstation, and the FFXIII hairstyles which will likely be handled the same way.
