Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Tadir - 08-17-2010

I wasn't a fan of the first one, so I think I'll probably skip this one until it drops in price in a few years.

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Asyria - 08-17-2010

Ooohhh fun times.
I still need to finish the first one though, so yeah.... I'll wait. ^^
But it looks good!

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Mycroft - 08-17-2010

Aww.. I wanted to see that Qunari being torn apart.

Ah well, if there's an ability that is even remotely similar in game.. I'll be glad.. Very, very glad.

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Hiname - 08-17-2010

Hmm.. no more Grey Warden I guess.

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - ArmachiA - 08-17-2010

Got DA and DA Awakening the day they were released, totally getting this.

Looks like the offspring of Morigan and the grey warden to meeeeeeeee.

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Sylian - 08-17-2010

Curious to see how this one will turn out ^^ I liked the first one, the story was pretty engaging Smile My all time bioware favorite is still, and will likely always be, the Baldur's Gate series. I don't know how many times I played those over. Smile

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Tagyr - 08-17-2010

Didn't mind the first one, though I admit it was kinda irritating how it lagged on consoles whenever the larger battles occured. Story was interesting though. Favourite characters was Shale and the dwarf, they always made me laugh.

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Diyne - 08-17-2010

You know...technically, isn't 'Dragon Age 2' really just 'Dragon Age'? Considering that the first game was 'Dragon Age: Origins'...meaning it is an origin/prequel story? Therefore, the first game after it...would be the real first game?

You make a good point, ill be interested to see where it fits into the story/world

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Rikitiki - 08-17-2010

Well, it does happen after the events of the first game, but that's all I really know. Well, that and you play as a guy who escaped the Blight by way of being somewhere else when it happened. Big Grin

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Kashemia - 08-18-2010

I don't think Dragon Age: Origins was ment to be a prequel, the name was more refering to the fact that there was a lot of focus put on the origins of the characters Smile

Anyway, I'm totally getting this! I played through the original game almost 3 times  and I got all the expansions and stuff, sometimes due to a generous signifigant other Tongue

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Mycroft - 08-18-2010

I believe that the setting of Dragon Age 2 is in the "Free Marches" which is the continent north of Ferelden.. This time around conversations will be more like ME2 where the PC "Hawke" will actually have a voice and dialogue options will be shown on a wheel, unfortunately you won't be able to choose your race this time around.

Here's what info there's on him right now: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Hawke

Re: Dragon Age 2 Trailer - Lukoya - 08-18-2010

Bioware saying no mods, no top down view and making it more appealing to console gamers. Seeing how i play a game for the gameplay, i wont judge a game based on its "theatrical trailer" so at the moment im not touching this crap. Either that if a great gameplay video comes out then ill reconsider, but what they have said so far, its a big no no for me.

Hawke can be a female too, FWIW. Not that BioWare -ever- promotes the female side of their either/or main characters... but one can dream.
