Rox's Tiny Leather Journal [OOC welcome!] - Rox - 09-20-2013 Page 1 Sometimes it takes something terrible and drastic happening to show you your mistakes. I had another journal before this, but it's at the bottom of the sea with all of my other worldly possessions, aside from what I could grab when I noticed my houseboat going down. I managed to grab my dagger and shield, my purse, and my boots. You ever try swimming in boots? It's terrible. I used my gil to get this book and a pen, a backpack, and a ticket for the airship. I lost my only real friend here in Limsa Lominsa, and then I lost my home, so you know what's next? Time to get off my ass and seek some adventure! I'll check back in once I'm settled in. Ul'dah! The desert! I can't wait! There's no more room in this world for lazy do-nothings! RE: Rox's Tiny Leather Journal [OOC welcome!] - Rox - 09-24-2013 Page 2 What a trip! The airship ride was a great way to start my day. I got into Ul'dah right around breakfast time, using my last gil to get some spiced bread and milk. I wasn't expecting this place to be so big! I got immediately lost, but a refugee pointed me towards a place to get work. I started small, hunting down pests in Central Thanalan, and around lunchtime I stopped at the big ol' Sultantree to sit down and eat a meager lunch I'd purchased with my wages. I met a man there, a man from my tribe no less! He was hiding from someone and I thought he might be a bandit at first, but he has kind eyes and a great smile. His name is B'rahz and we were fast friends. I shared my meal and found out he and his boss were headed to my neck of the sea the very next day! Can you imagine? I met Boss, well, A'tirramei. She's really pretty and seems sweet, I can see why she needs a bodyguard. This town is rough, someone might haul her off if she's not careful. I offered to guide them around Limsa Lominsa when they head out that way, so long as they're okay with delaying their trip while I finish the jobs that I took. Can you believe that they agreed? I'm even staying with A'tirramei tonight, I get a room and a ticket for free! I feel more confident in my decision to take up adventuring now that I've made a couple of friends. I just never expected to head home so soon, hah! |
