I am new to the game and forum. I don't know anyone so it's a bit overwhelming attempting to jump into "RP".

We're at your disposal for anything you need, from lore help to character concept ideas to RP in game or on the forums -- and Magellan's event this Sunday is going to be a great way to get your feet wet.
There's also a tavern night on Saturday outside of Ul'dah, at the Coffer and Coffin.If you're looking for places to meet people, there's a list of RP hangouts that you can use to find people to meet.
You may also want to consider the RPC's Mentor Program, whether to connect with a mentor for one-on-one help or just as a list of people who are always open to meet new RPers and help them get involved.

Well Hello!
TY for the info! Yes, this is my first Final Fantasy game so the lore is still new to me. I still get awkward when it comes to RP. I had my first taste of RP last year and really liked it. I started out with TOR and went into TERA. It was an interesting unique outlook on MMO's. But I always had my friend to come in and do an intro and I went off of that.
