II. RP Style - Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
I prefer med-heavy rp. I have been roleplaying for over 20 years via tabletop and through mmos since the launch of EQ1. I am a big fan of character developlment and story. I am a big sucker for online rp communities with my mmo characters and look forward to meeting more roleplayers on Gilgamesh. Â
- Views on RP combat and injuries:
I generally handle rp conflicts through duels and such. I find that my view of my character is closely tied to the reality of their level and experience. I wouldn't rp her as being a super powerful destroyer of wolrds if she is only a 10th level Thaumaturge. Instead I would see her more as a promising student but not quite ready to tackle the level 40 who gives her grief.
༜- Views on IC romance:
I think that IC romance can have a very strong effect on character development and community interaction. The probem is that this is sometimes good and sometimes bad, so I find approaching IC romance to be akin to crossing a minefield with a wonderful treasure chest at the end, if you can survive to get to it.
- Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
I find that this is the bread and butter of the rp community. I look forward to building as many meaningful relationships of this type as I can. Based on Luna's backstory she would not have any siblings, but I find close friends, distant relatives, and traveling companions that become like siblings are what keep me logging in to an mmo for the long haul.
- Views on lore:
I believe in using as much of the world lore as possible. What makes a fantasy world unique and stand out from most other fantasy worlds, is the lore. I don't believe is infecting one world with the lore of another. So I would never support seeing a Drow, raised in Menzoberranzan and worshiping Lloth, running around Eorzea.
- Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):
I think that FFXIV has done a good job of explaining some of the more fanciful methods for chatting. The cutscenes show characters able to quickly communicate with multiple units in real time. So for me all chat types are possible.
