So is Balmung crowded?/Are RPers leaving Balmung? - Cuthawolf - 10-15-2013
So I missed out on Balmung the first time around because I didn't do my research, and ended up on Moogle with RL friends. With the free world transfer service becoming available we're all looking at moving to Balmung, but I'm starting to feel a little uncertain.
Is Balmung crowded? If so there's a chance transfers may be refused, or asked to redirect themselves to another server that isn't as populated.
Are RPers leaving Balmung En Masse? If so, it kinda kills the point of me going there in the first place, and I'd rather end up going to wherever the roleplayers will be.
In short, could use a little advice and info from the Balmung RPers. Thank youÂ

Balmung is sort of crowded. You may have trouble transferring, as the server's usually full, but it tends to open up late at night/early morning EST.
And as far as I'm aware, role-players are coming and not leaving. If you browse around a lot of recent threads on this site, new players are coming to Balmung or anticipating transferring here, and I know my free company has several role-players planning to transfer to Balmung from other servers.

Thank you Faye, I appreciate the reply.
Knowing people are coming and not going is good, although I guess it means my group and I need to take our chances with the possibility of getting rerouted during the world transfer process.
Hopefully we all make it through in one piece, ultimately our fates are bound together. If one of us gets shunted off to another server, we'll all follow

just mat sure you guys do it early morning EST. Best time is like 3AM. I can almost guarantee you will be able to server transfer then.

I will say I know a couple of people that have left, but it in no way means that MOST people are leaving.
There are some that I've RPed with that I just simply haven't been able to find again. Others, however, I RP with on a near daily basis. It all depends on where you look, really =)

As far as I know, no one has really transferred from Balmung to another server or have plans to do so. We did lose a small amount of Free Company members in my group when subscriptions started, which was expected.
