Hi Everybody~!
Fresh meat here. Â Not new to roleplay, but new to this place. Â So... I came form such games as Guild Wars and City of Heroes... so gotta get used to the way of doing things. Â But, I'm getting the hang of it.
I live in the San Francisco area and I enjoy long walks on a short beach and waffles. Video games, WWE (as stupid as it gets, it still amuses me. Soap opera in tights). Â Also comic books and other nerd like things.
What else?  I'm on the Balmung server after spending the dough to move most of my characters from Gilgamesh.  I enjoy most types of RP.  I'll flat out say that most of my characters play for the same side.  I'm working on Wiki things for them eventually, but at least I have this link here (http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:X%27yue ) for info about me.

Welcome to the RPC! I'm a waffles fan myself, the ease of syrup and butter containment makes them preferred over pancakes, but they're on the same level as french toast depending on the morning.
While both Gilgamesh and Balmung are supported servers for the RPC I hope you're able to meet lots of interesting people on your new home. If you have the chance take a look at the linkshell hall for any groups you might be interested in joining or at least getting to know. There's also the forums themselves where you can get to know people and discuss things you might be interested in or want clarification on.
As far as other resources go, the wiki (which you've linked to) is great for getting to know a bit more about the people you might have met along your journey, as well as some player made lore. Feel free to browse the Lantern for some IC character musings, The Calendar for a list of events, as well as the RP handbook posted by Eva on the front page. (there's a welcome post there as well if you'd like to know a bit more about each of the tools available here.)
Please let us know if you have any questions or comments, the RPC is an open community with a lot of interesting people and plenty of opportunity.
