[Balmung] Seeking criminals and performers alike. - ansemaru - 11-15-2013

The FC/LS I'm part of, Lansquenet, is a group of criminals posing as a troupe of actors and performers. In our ranks, we have characters who specialize in either or both sides of the company- there are actors, bards, stagehands, costumiers, playwrights, guards, and those who stick to the background to carry out criminal activities (thieving, operating gambling rings, kidnapping, smuggling). The issue is that we're spread a bit thin. There are only seven of us active, which is a bit of a small number for putting on performances or carrying out backstage business. We have already put on one play (and an interactive murder mystery) in-game, but in the future, we'd prefer to have more individuals in our ranks for more ambitious productions.

Does this sound interesting to anybody? Obviously, you don't have to be both an actor and a criminal to join- we are just as open to people who are one or the other. Bards, dancers, actors, thieves, magicians, clowns, con-men/women, thugs- we would love to have any of these join our ranks, and we'll gladly set up a meeting in-game to get to acquainted with our business if you're at all interested. We're also open to adding individuals to our linkshell if they already are a member of a free company! There's room enough for such associates, as it is.

I saw the posting for that FC soon after it was put up and was super excited... But then I saw it was on Gilgamesh and kinda deflated just a lil bit... I know that isn't helpful. However, I'm sure interest in this kind of thing exists. Lots of RP communities tend to harbor people who love performing sorts of troupes. Hang in there and good luck!

It's truly a shame about the divide across servers. I feel like there are a lot of good people on both sides who'd go great with one another, but can't because of the one they ended up choosing.

Still, I'm glad to see you're interest, even if you cannot personally join our ranks. There's hope yet for Lansquenet, it seems.

I'm tossing around ideas for an alt that might be criminally inclined. I would love to contact you and yours when I go that route. Sounds like fun.

My FC (Pirates of a Wayward Star) are certainly on the criminal side of things. We may not be able to join up, but I can definitely see potential in being business partners. We need more friends. And also we need to do more pirate-y activities. We've been lacking lately.

You can check out our thread here and our site here. Feel free to hit us up!

We have been on Gilgamesh since Beta phase 4, and while the community was booming in the beginning, it seems the number of RPers have dwindled.  We are considering a transfer to Balmung.

Balmung could use some more baddies! Smile I have a character I might be interested in tossing in if you make the move.

We'd love to have you on Balmung.  ^_^  Always good to have a variety of characters.

So, good news to all who have posted in this thread expressing disappointment that Lansquenet was a Gilgamesh-based Free Company. As of this week, the whole lot of us jumped ship and transferred servers to Balmung. We're still finding our footing on the new server, but the fact that we're looking for more help still stands.

Right now, we've got two actors, a bard, a pair of stagehands, a playwright/leader, a treasurer/leader, a costumier, and one person on security. It's not exactly a huge crowd. And we've got really no established connections on this server as of yet- rivals, allies, partners, or the like. It may be a little while before we organize any events on Balmung, but I figured it would be of interest to some of those who've replied to this thread and the people of Balmung in general to know that we're here now.

As the sole member of security for our little troupe... we could use more muscle. Most of these lovely people couldn't fight their way out of wet paper bags. Some of them *cough*Aumeric*cough* would probably suffocate on the bag.

But I love them! Just makes me want to take care of them even more... for which I could use a hand. Thugs or soldiers, long as you don't get too uncomfortable when the boss starts talking 'business'...

I'll contact you guys on my alt, Reinbach. He's a general highwayman type with quite the mouth on him. He could make a hell of a carnival barker, a bard, or general muscle.

Well, you know, paper bags are really tough opponents!  Bouncy

Welcome to Balmung!  Big Grin

RE: [Balmung] Seeking criminals and performers alike. - C'kayah Polaali - 12-04-2013

C'kayah's a smuggler and a thief. Though he's involved in a FC already (with their attendant story arcs), I'm always looking for more RP fun for him. Big Grin

Sounds good. I'd look for either Fenr'ir Nebelung or Skoena Fraewyn in-game, as they're the leaders of our FC and will be able to set up a meeting so Reinbach can see about joining up with us.

Well, even if C'kayah is already in an FC, there are still opportunities for interaction! Look for members of <<Lance>> in-game if you're interested in having him have a run-in with the group.
