Well, well, well... Hello, everybody!Â
After an incredibly painful installation process on the PS3, I was able to finally a make a character on Balmung. Found you guys here on this awesome site and thought I'd drop a line. I'll undoubtedly be romping around the server in the coming weeks. I'll keep an eye out for all of you! I'm a Miqo'te Archer named Draiken Hawke.

to be quite satisfactory to warrant a subscription.

As the illustrious Xenedra has mentioned, there is an out of character hub known as "Intermission", A better place to meet people I can hardly think of.

How long did the PS3 install take you if I might ask? I haven't had to do it since the Beta and i'm wondering if the process was improved at all, is it still 4+ hours? Ah well,

Thanks for the warm wecome, all! I'm about to hit lvl 10 here. Getting the grasp of the game pretty quick I think. It's been much more user-friendly to me than FFXI ever was, haha.Â
@Olofantur: NV sounds good to me! :-p  The PS Store, Install, and Patch, probably took a collective 45 minutes to an hour. But I was having an issue where the patch was bugging out about 60% through every time... and after numerous re-installs and router resets and that sort of business it took me about 3 days to actually get the game to work. I guess the PS3 version has been having lots of issues with stuff like that. I had to do one final re-install after the game would freeze about 10 seconds into character creation... *sigh*Â
But it's been smooth sailing since then. Game looks great, gameplay is smooth. People around the area seem to be kind've keeping to themselves and slamming thru these earlier levels, but they move quickly as is.
