Slurs for Garleans - Grike - 02-23-2014
Question that popped up during rp: Are there any slurs for Garleans? Can't recall hearing any in game. If not, anyone have any good ideas?

There are none that I'm aware of, especially since just being a Garlean is a slur in of itself, at this point in the Eorzean culture. I bet that people probably just refer to Cid as "one of the good ones", to imply that Garleans as a whole are bad.
But I could probably think of a few slurs that would come to mind to call out Garleans. Tekker might be a good one, since they are known for their use of Magitek.

Don't know of any official slurs per se, but "imps" has the benefit of being shorthand and implies eeeebil voidsent-like tendencies at the same time.

My friend and I call them "black and reds", as a take on the old Irish slur "black and tans". Though, I can see that also being used by those who abhor the Maelstrom, as well. xD
