Seeking People Interested in a Kidnapping Scene - K'nahli - 05-20-2014
Hello ^^
To put it simply, myself and a friend thought about organising a forum RP scene/series of scenes where one or more people are abducted by either Ixal or bandits of some sort. The details as of now aren't overly important and are absolutely open to debate. Nothing is really set in stone so feel free to offer your own suggestions whether you are interested in taking part or not!
Not to say it's out of the question, but I'm not particularly fond of making this a large scene where many, many people can participate. The idea was that my character and someone else's go in pursuit of the culprits themselves for fear of losing the trail by the time they could retrieve aid from the Twin Adder, so it probably wouldn't work out too well if there just happens to be a mini army of passers-by that quickly form their own recue group, ahah ;
But as I said, that's all open to debate. For now I'd just like to get an idea of how many people would be interested in what roles. So feel free to use your imaginations. Even small roles would keep things fresh and interesting, for example someone who saw the people being taken away and can help point our characters in the right direction. So don't be shy to come up with something; though most important of all, I'll be looking for people who can volunteer themselves as captives.

My character Clover can be either a rescuer or a captive. Whichever needs more participants ^^
Edit: Also, have you considered playing this ingame in case most people prefer that way?

I definitely wouldn't mind volunteering one of my characters as a captive. I have an array you can pick from since it would be forum scenes and not in game!

Thank you very much! I don't mind what character you choose really, so long as it is convenient to their story/whereabouts.

Ahh, I'm sorry but the scene would have to take place in Gridania I'm afriad ;;Â Â Unless we choose to go with human captors and assume they captured your character before they did so in Gridania(albeit the time it would take for them to travel north would be quite long ;; )

Yay! Since many people will be kidnapped, that means Clover can play the rescuer role! It's time for her to put the little she knows about magic into good use.

As an additional note, we've had experiences in the past where people simply stop posting or take a long time to do so and only make a scene look clunky - if not stall it completely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who will always start posting a reply soon after reading a tag but if you're incapable of sticking out this scene should it take some time to get through, then please do not volunteer.
In addition, to the people that are eager to take part, can you please let me know if there are any points to note about your characters that may be important to the scene and/or the people you roleplay with?
For example, if they are capable of fighting and if you are comfortable with them being injured(either benignly or seriously) at any point.Â
I'd also like to know how you handle certain roleplaying aspects that vary from person to person.... one case being how you treat healing magic. Do you like to imagine it is a slow and inconsistent process? Or do like to think that wounds can be cleared away easily?
I'm sorry if the questions and conditions feel excessive but I'd like to ensure a smooth scene for everyone involved (^^)

I won't have a problem sticking out the scene or replying promptly but just to clarify, this isn't going to be something we are expected to do it all in one night is it? If so then that might be a problem if it's not on a Thursday or Friday since I work nights when everyone else is on the rest of those days.

Just an update on my ability to participate. After speaking to a few individuals involved in my story this would be a good alternative to some of the consequences that their characters would be involved with. So if you want to use my character let me know.
I'll also be able to keep up with it at fairly consistent rate, and I don't have any issue with receiving injuries as long as they don't cause permanent disability.
