Please look forward to it!

Sweet DRG buffs! I'm really eager to see how this ends up working out for our dps in Coil.

:/ NIN nerfs, though.

Interesting that they're planning to make normal and hard mode versions of Heavensward raids. I wonder how difficult those will end up being and what loot they drop. I wouldn't mind something like an ilvl difference of 5 for the gear and/or maybe making the hard mode versions dyable.

Ishgardian housing is not planned.

Quote:In 2.45 we will also be introducing a system where players can help people with the final coil of bahamut after they’ve been locked out. For people who don’t want a second chance at loot but rather want to help their FC mates and friends clear.

Quote:Q10: In a previous interview, you mentioned that we will able to tackle instanced dungeons by ourselves. Are there still plans to implement this feature?

A10: Yes, there are still plans to implement this feature. While there isn’t too much we can reveal at this time, just to give you a preview, we are currently discussing a new type of content where you will control your own unit for your grand company, add NPCs in your unit, and take them to dungeons to level them up.

O_O All of the yes! CAPTAIN MIRKE IS GONNA BE A THANG! AN IN GAME THANG! /grabby hands

Other than for bards, if Level 1-2 had same effects but different anims I think that might work.

So far so awesome though.

I parsed 510 dps in turn8 the other day over the course of 6.5 minutes. More Dragoon buffs? PLEASE do.

I can't wait to wreck shit harder.

I'm just happy that the rest of us will be able to experience group content when we're locked out by any number of self-imposed or player-demanded gates. This is probably the single best news to come out of an LL in a LOOOONG time for me.

To be fair, they're saying one of the biggest problems with dragoon involves positionals. In t8 the mob can't move and *should* never turn. The only time you'll be off of it is if you have to grab a tower, kill a dreadnought, or briefly deal with an explodey mechanic Tongue. There's also echo in there now. I think generally, across the board, if you pit a good drg against a good monk, or even a ninja, the drg is likely to underperform simply do to the way the class is put together.

On the flip side, I don't think it needs THAT much of a buff. I hope SE does a good job of balancing it based on what will even drg out with other dps, and not confuse complaints from simply bad dragoons lul.

I thought it was because DRG were getting blasted to bits by the magical damage in the end game raid content. (T10 lol).

It is a combination of things. All of which Yoshi-P himself addresses. He even lays out exactly what they are doing to DRG. Magic Def buff, Potency buff, recast timer buff (which I assume is another lowering of the recast for jumps), Possible speed buff, and getting your extra stuff from your stuff regardless of proper position (loooooong time coming. MNK does not have to flank for Twin Snakes, why should DRG?) DRG is a fun job. I love the hell out of it, but it does need work. One of the things that really pepped me up watching the letter was when they got the DRG question and people laughed, then Yoshi-P said "I am not laughing" and people just stopped. I am looking forward to what they implement, Yoshi-P seems very serious about bringing the job up to par.

It's all of this. Pulling high DPS in turn 8 is nothing because you rarely have to move at all. DRG has been meh for a long while. It's only a big issue now because we have NIN and Final Coil is way more of a gear check than Second Coil, and it dishes out tons of magic damage. Basically it's a giant screw you to DRG.

NIN made DRG pretty much worthless in current endgame. It does better damage, has no crippling positional requirements, has better survivability, better party utility, and on top of that it flat out moves faster, so it's easier to dodge AOE. If it wasn't for the need to build limit break and the fact that MNK does the highest damage and provides good utility then NIN would invalidate it too.

Our DRG is looking forward to these buffs. He was going to quit and change to MNK because he can't stand eating dirt every time magic damage AOE (aka all of them) crits. It needs all the help it can get.

A little disappointed with the wedding mount. Previous shown artwork had lead me to think it'd be a carriage...

Oh well.

Hopefully it won't be just this, or it'll be a pretty poor and disappointing patch. New poses and emotes, please! (T-T And the IC status icon too...)
