How long have them been around?
I'm planning on making a character who was raised by them, so i was wondering how long they have been around or how much of a lore stretch would it be.

Months! Â They arrive as part of the story in.. I think..2.3? Not even a year since they arrived, I don't think.

AFAIK there's no mention of any lore-wise, so its up to your imagination and interpretation!

The doman immigrants/refugees reside in Mor Dhona and have been here around 12-13 months now. However still there is no word on the Doman entrance ban in Ul'dah of yet so it is safe to assume they are not often permitted into the city.

We know recent;y that things in Mor Dhona have improved a little and that trade has been growing there.

it might not be realistic to be raised by them due to the length of time they've been here.

The group from the msq a few months, but there is no magic wall around eorzea. A doman by themself or a small group could have been here a while.

In one of the seasonal quests there was a Far Eastern merchant who stated she'd been coming and trading in Eorzea for quite some time. There are quite a few other seasonal events where residents of Othard have come to Eorzea for a time. So it's more than plausible for Far Easterners or Domans specifically to have come to Eorzea prior to the razing of Doma at the hands of the Empire. Limsa Lominsa trades globally, after all, so Far Eastern merchants are likely commonplace there.

But if you're referring to the very specific group of Domans who arrive as part of the MSQ, those have only been here for a few months.

I was referring to no specific group, just went with Domans to justify naming conventions.

Sonusyy covered what I was wanting to post, concerning Limsa Lominsa and trade (and with fewer words!)

Fruit was of Doma's major exports. If you're wanting to go with the trade idea, this may be something you can work with.
