Hello out there! I'm glad there is a roleplaying community within FF XIV. I just don't seem to be able to connect with it. I am on Sargatanas and I was told there was roleplay there. I even found a RP linkshell there, two even, and I joined both. Neither one appear to be active. While I wouldn't mind sticking around a bit longer to try and find long term RP contacts there, I'm just about ready to give up and try elsewhere. Is there an active RP community on Sargatanas? Is Balmung EVER available?

If anyone has any advice or if there's anybody else on Sargatanas looking for long term RP, please send me a PM or respond to this thread. Maybe we can set something up.

Unfortunately most of the visitors outside of Balmung usually post about looking for connections. I rarely see posts about thriving Linkshells or communities (unless on Gilgamesh as I know they have a dedicated Enjin and I know of http://sirenrp.enjin.com/ for Siren RP and http://brynhildrchronicle.enjin.com/ for Brynhildr). Try to see if you can reach out to others with the Sargatanas tag in this subforum.

I believe Kousagi (creator of this http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12702 Sargatanas LS) has their main on Balmung but it looks like the linkshell itself is empty except for its master.

The only thing I can suggest, if unwilling to go through the trials and tribulations of searching for an RP community) is to transfer to Balmung. I suggest looking into the first post of the thread I've made here (http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=12737) if you have further questions. The situation hasn't changed since Dec 2015. Any windows to create a character on Balmung are after maintenances (which typically end early so you have to be up extremely early/late) and are only open for less than about 3 minutes.

Thanks very much for the information. I'll try to get onto Balmung (which was my main goal to begin with) because I've been up all night trying to make a character on there already. I'll try the suggestion to use the after-maintenance window.

As for Kousagi's LS, I thought it was a great idea. They invited me and some others into the LS, and then it just got weird from there, because another RP LS that claimed to be the main one on Sargatanas told us to merge with them, essentially asking us to disband.

Something to keep in mind. If you have any alts you want to make, make them now and they can come over in the transfer too. No matter how many you bring over, it will still be the same price. This is if you bring them all over all at once.

I'm originally from Sarg myself. I couldn't find a community there for RP so I ended up transferring as well. Hope to see you over here!
