Any idea though if LS/FC membership is account specific or character specific?
(I could see either of mine working out in some, but, say... Kya wouldn't fit very well in Wanderer's Shadows... and ChianÃ© would just stick out horribly in the Tribe of the Distant)

It's character specific.Â

You can have characters on many different servers, but you can't connect to your linkshell on Gilgamesh on your character from Balmung. Same with Free Company. Since you can only be a member of one, it would suck for people who have multiple characters to be restricted to a single FC across all characters.

I believe both are character-specific since you can only have one FC per character.

I believe you can also have multiple linkshells, but you can only have one Free Company.

Everything is tied to the character though (not the account)

This is correct. You can have up to 8 Link Shells I believe and 1 Free Company. Smile
