Hi Guys,

I'm interested in doing RP in FFXIV, just got the Early Access set up.

There's two EU servers that seem to be popular for RP, Odin and Moogle, however I would prefer an NA server if possible.

Do many EU time-zone players play on Balmung or Gilgamesh?

Yes, we certainly do! See Europa linkshell and Eorzean Union FC on Balmung.

Basicly what Katattax wrote, I personally still dont know which will have the stronger EU community, Balmung, Odin or Moogle.

If only Square Enix made designated RP servers, would save us all ALOT of headaches I imagine

I believe that Odin and moogle will have more EU players than Balmung, after all they are EU marked. Though Moogle became house of French, and speaking in English is being frowned upon. OdinÂ seems to beÂ more English-speaker friendly.

To really see how many us do play on Balmung, we will need to check during working days not on weekend. Time of events might be problematic or endgame raids, because casual RP and Duty Finder quests should be aviable

If endgame is what you're worried about, I'll just mention Eorzean Union again. It's the endgame FC for EU players. Last time I checked, I believe we had 25 members.

Nice, I think I'll try Balmung then. Eorzean Union sounds good.

Yep, I might give them a shot too.. but before I decide on FreeCompany, I want to first decide the server - torn between Balmung and Odin atm. And I don't want to join the free company, when I'm unsure I'll stay on their server.

Heh, within a few minutes of walking about on Balmung earlier, I was messaged by another player inquiring about RP on the server. Turns out they're EU and had come across this website in their research (but they haven't signed up) and saw the RPC choice on unoffical RP servers.

I personally came here myself from a youtube video about which server to choose, mentioning this place for those interested in RP.

So it's hard to say, but as it is on Balmung with Eorzea Union alone, we've had our number increase drastically just the past few days, so I'm sure by the time most of us our ready for end game content, there's going to be a lot of willing victi- I mean participants.

Plus despite Odin and Moogle having EU tags, it doesn't take much research to see that the server locations for EU and NA are in the exact same place, with the exact same ping.
