About Us:
The clanking of glasses and the melody of a harp echoed through the tavern, laden with the scent of beer. Close by a Sea Wolf would spit as he spoke, loud in his words as he eyes the hooded figure across from him, which appears to be a Miqo’te. The Roegadyn speaks with a hint of nervousness, "Are ye mad?" His mug sloshed as he pulled it, uncaring of the hygiene of his surroundings. "Yer job is nothin’ but fool's work; a ticket to public execution, it is." He leaned forward, his eyes trailing around the room as he attempts to lower the volume of his drunken speech, though it remains loud enough for those close by to hear. "Yer looking for the wrong group of people… hic! Lucky fer you, I have th’ information ye would want." The Roegadyn jabs his finger into the table in exaggerated emphasis.
Â
The hooded figure dragged an envelope back from the table, quietly. Their entire being masked by cloth and cover, mysteriously expressed. Taking the envelope back from the table, the person’s shadow-hidden face would tilt a small amount before straightening it back as there was an unreadable expression and no motion. "Do tell."
Â
A smile of the loud male across from the cloaked Miqo’te would cause a sense of ease in the area. "A certain...people have appeared, takin’ jobs like yers. Nothing more than scum on th’ streets, though quick with hands, words, and blade." His eyes shifted again, his smile fading. "They take on any job as they take in any refugee ... any exiled, forsaken, or abandoned, as family. Their work quick and their efficiency: strategized." He leaned in with a smirk to the figure, close enough for a whisper, though too proud in his cautious assumption to keep it to himself. "Their professionalism stems from th’ most scary thing of ‘em all. When ye have nothing, lost it all and have hit a point where death is no longer on yer list of fears.."
Â
"Then there’s nothing left to lose."
We are a medium to heavy roleplay Free Company in FFXIV,whose focus is on development between our members within our guild and the community. Our guild is based on contracts given from the roleplay community and/or members within our guild. These contracts can be anything from guarding the righteous to assassinating multiple targets. As long as the contract warrants a decent sum of money, The Lunar Veil will take it. Though, their main focus is on illegal matters. The Veil is a home and cover-up for any, strong or weak, respected or exiled, smiled upon or scorned. ICly we operate as an organization based out of several fronts in different locations that take on the outward appearance of small, local taverns. It is at these taverns that most of our contracts will be received, and where under the right circumstances we may be contacted.                                                         Â
As a community we strive to have an environment for closely knit friends to roleplay freely. We are accepting of all kinds of people, and expect that anyone who joins us to feel the same way.Â
Also, while we do accept 'lone wolves' and otherwise stand-off ish characters, there is a line we must draw. We hope to make our Company operate like a tight-knit family with development among all members. While we certainly will determine of whether a character is a good fit for our Free Company in thorough interviews both OOC and IC we ask that applicants understand the value of compromise. Characters that will absolutely never compromise with the idea of authority, unfortunately, should not apply. However do not let above statement deter you from applying or roleplaying with us, we are a community who adores roleplay with anyone and everyone.
Side note: We also have various different Link-shells for members to join, including ones with allied Free Company interaction.Â
