Hello everyone. I'm trying to edge myself back into the community after an unintentional few-month-long hiatus, and I sort of feel like I'm brand new again... I don't really know anyone!

Instead of returning to characters that have been making me unhappy, I've taken this opportunity to let them fade out and start anew. I was hoping to make this thread in an effort to establish some RP with people or maybe discuss any connections they could already have to help build his history.

Currently he is unnamed, but I will be sure to fix that soon. Non-tribal mi'qote, likely Sunseeker, but I haven't 100% decided. I want to eventually put him into an astrologian related position, but only when we have more official lore an information, so at the moment he does readings for people with tarot cards to make a bit of money.

He is a scholarly type and enjoys learning. At first he acts a bit prissy in regards to adventuring, but will suck it up for the sake of learning more. He also thinks he's the most graceful thing since Swan Lake but deep down he's kind of just another dorky nerd. Adolescent- probably in his early twenties. Black hair, bright blue eyes. Light skin.

That's about all I have, really. So that's where this thread comes in! I wanted to know if anyone was interesting in already knowing (or at least getting to know) this character so I could hopefully flesh out a story a bit better. I'm at a loss.

Currently my RPing schedule for in-game is a little limited, we can discuss days and times if that's the absolute only way you'll go :] Â But I also offer skype, tumblr, email, and PMs here on the forums.

(Still have to make him in-game, to be honest. The whole name thing is stopping me. He is non-tribal so I do not want to have a Tia or Nuhn name, and I am unsure if I want to follow naming conventions as I do not have an idea on how or where he was raised...)

Limsa Lominsa and the arcanist guild would be a good place to start for his origin. Most of the seekers and keepers there are non-traditional (so it would explain his non-cultural name) and the Arcanist guild would be a good place to start with since they are basically the brain's of Limsa. Starting out as an Arcanist and transitioning into Astroligian would be cool to experiment with IMO, since we have 6+ months till 3.0.Â Â (I think)Â Which would be enough time to build him up as a character towards astroligian.

You didn't mention why your previous characters made you unhappy, but if they were standard heroes, you might want to consider playing a criminal. There's a lot of fun in playing a foil - the RP opportunities are plentiful, especially if you're playing the foil in other people's arcs; it's fun to do things we don't normally do IRL; and you get a free "Ocean's 11" soundtrack that plays the whole time you're RPing.

Check out Tylwyth Narah, if the crime thing sounds appealing.

I can agree here, as a Lala thief myself, I can say that it is a lot of fun doing things which you wouldn't have the opportunity to do in RL society. Something I do recommend if you're tired of the hero type.

I can't speak to how well they might get along, but your character is always more than welcome to bump into V'aleera, whom I've largely had confined to Limsa/La Noscea IC.

As for why I am making a new character- it was not their personalities or anything that i want to change. Unfortunately just ooc/personal drama with people and while all of it is past, they still have a sort of negative feeling when I try to play them. They make me sad atm, I guess.
