Still trying to figure out how to wrap my head around an introduction, especially considering this is a world where my experience in roleplaying is only in FFX as Guardian to another Summoner that had next to no ties to the canon group of it. [Even if I did often fantasize about Lulu.]

Ahem. So, you can call me X'nath, or something to that matter if you'd like. I originally played XIV when it released with A Realm Reborn at the behest of some friends. Afterwards when it became apparent things were not working out, got all the way to max level and I believe things started falling apart around the attempts for Garuda HM, and we wound up kind of going our separate ways.

With Heavensward on the horizon, what interested me the most was the new tank class, and that is my goal for playing once more, as well as the Au Ra.. however, the gap between back then and now, leaves me terribly starved at lore, so I'm doing a lot of diving.

I've kind of ghosted about for a week, nearly two, here, just reading up on conversations and one can only go so long before wanting to reveal one self.Â

So, yeah I'm pretty positive this sounded better in my head but... here goes nothing. Haha

--MMORPG background
My first ever MMO was WoW, and I've sort of played the gambit of MMO hopping between that, Aion, TERA, Guild Wars 2, SW:ToR, and Wildstar.. yeah, just all over the board.

--RP experience
I've a few years, but absolutely none of that really helps in a game where you know absolutely next to no lore, so that's definitely one of my main focuses, pretty sure XIV's lore is flailing cause there's all these tabs up lol
--Character ideas/info
As previously stated, my main focus is going to be based around Heavensward's new race, the Au Ra, and the new class. There's a lot of speculation, but my take on the class and the lore they gave us might have gone differently than what most think of it. Either way, my fellow is definitely of the Xaelan clan. Mainly because they're actually adventurous, rather than just all 'We shall hide with ours, and only act if we are threatened', it's a take it to them and wander.

Gonna have to look around more, but I am already in love with tribes/clans that enjoy conflict

--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?
Preferably medium to heavy, but mainly medium. I'm interested in seeing DRK all the way to endgame, and since my original choice was MNK, and that got me locked into the whole 'We only need one melee', it quickly turned me off content.Â

I'm definitely open to ideas and the like, and interactions be they IC or over the forums.

Hiya!

We can try to help out with the lore! If you've got any questions, feel free to ask 'em here or in a thread if searching the forums (it's daunting and sifting the result can be hard)! From there, we'll try to pick out some in-game lore/quotes if there's something tangible, or people will likely attempt to discuss views on it. ...you may or may not have seen some of the er....more "heated" discussions on some topics over the past couple weeks.

While I might not be the best fit for RP, I can certainly try! And I can definitely try to help out with gameplay stuff! These days, the primals are a little bit easier because people are about double the level of the challenge for some. All that extra HP and power helps. :p

I found something last night called the... Lore Train? So hopefully that'll help bring me up to speed, but I have enjoyed reading various threads and seeing the madness going on here, it's a good madness. I'll still cling to the bleachers for a little while though~

Yes, it does. I never got my fists off Garuda [since I never got to beat her] but my god, the music of her and Ifrit? I love it.. Ifrit even more cause he was my favorite aeon in X. And rambles on forever
