I found this out a short while ago but Neil Armstrong has passed away.

I am... A derp. O_o Someone had sent this to me and I didn't realize the date. ._.; I feel incredibly silly now.

Nevertheless it is an incredibly sad thing. :<

A true American Hero and a major advocate of expanding the American Space program during his career.  His impassioned speech two years ago concerning cutting NASA funding and the need to continue to strive for a doable maned mission to Mars was a thing of pure beauty.

The way he commanded respect when he spoke showed how much of a legendary figure he really was.

He will be greatly missed.  Look up tonight at the moon tonight people of the world and smile.  Know that he looks down on you with pride.  Keep the dream alive!  Support space exploration and funding for it!
