Amaare found Braxas as a baby during the aftermath of the Calamity, he parked his wrecked ship on the shore, was heading back to check on friends and found this baby Couerl curled up against her dead mother. He picked her up, plopped the half dead from starvation kitten on the top of his head and continued on his way. The scars on his face? Too many facehugs and kisses from Braxas while he was raising her.

Hey now, "coolness" is a perfectly valid reason for having something! I know I own plenty of things for no other reason other than "Holy crap this shit is awesome", and I am certain I'm not alone. There doesn't have to be some convoluted motivation to having everything.

I believe he's pointing to the assumption that I also made that coeurl mounts would be extremely expensive to buy.Â So obtaining one just because it was cool would only make sense if your character was icly wealthy.
