I think it's damned well about time I go out of my way to say hello to all you fine folk as I've been lurking about with a wiki page and have yet to say a word to the lovely community I dare say I now call home.
Truth be told, I've only been on Balmung for the last two or three months and I have to say I've both been blown away and enchanted by the staggering amount of high-quality RP I've found ever since making my appearance. It's been years since I've found myself having so much fun with absolute strangers that my character meets without so much of an OOC word.
I tend to be a bit of an MMO fanatic. WoW, Archeage, The Secret World, Wildstar. I've tried and played quite a few and a few of them I still do along with FFXIV now. I started RPing back just before WoW's Burning Crusade release and I've been addicted ever since. I find I tend to enjoy long-term more than the short but I'm quite adaptable when it boils down to it and though I often post in past-tense, I generally tend to adjust to suit those around me so there's no real issue. I suppose you may as well call me an incredibly heavy role-player as I will toss aside PvE/PvP for it anytime so long as I'm not letting someone down to do it.
I originally found my way here after happening across a link to someone's RPC link through their search info, to which I had to blink before instantly going into a flurry of typing as I set to work on my own. That said, I'd love to extend an olive branch to anyone who would care to RP with me, even if only to test the waters.
But in order to that, I suppose I should give you a bit of info on my pride and joy, hm?
As you might have guessed by my user name, I play one Erimmont Chevalier (Otherwise known as 'Monty'). A tall and scarred Wildwood Elezen who has a love for intelligent conversation and interesting hobbies. His own? He writes erotica/smut novels. Both for profit and by request. Before you ask, I -do- actually write them out if the person asks me to do so because really, the subject matter hardly matters to me. I just enjoy a bit of creative writing now and again.
Speaking of my personal life, I'll share a bit for giggles. I'm a Canadian fellow with a love for writing and gaming (Surprise!) and while I currently am unable to work due to an injury during my time as an industrial painter (Two construction workers lost their grip on a steel girder and permanently damaged my left leg), I tend to make the most of my home life. I've dabbled into chainmaille jewelery as of late and found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Also do work training pets for those in my personal life as I seem to have some sort of affinity for it.
Regardless! I'm glad to finally have made an introduction and I look forward to seeing/speaking/RPing with the lot of you!
