In the Gold Court of the Steps of Thal in Ul'dah, many peoples have gathered for Ul'dah second annual Royal Ball. Among these people come four unique individuals: Three Hyurs and a Miqo'te. One Hyur is a redhead dressed in mainly red-colored formal-casual wear, another Hyur is a blue-haired man dressed in knightly armor, and the third Hyur is a Doman female dressed in a traditional kimono. The Miqo'te however is a dirty-blonde-haired tomboy that is obviously uncomfortable in her long formal dress and footwear. Others also include two green-haired Hyurs that are obviously siblings: The older green-haired Hyur is a female that is dancing lively and is highly sociable with others, while the younger Hyur is a male that is sitting on a bench by himself reading some books he brought along. Hidden among the crowd is a beautiful whitish-pink haired Hyur female dressed in a lovely spring dress.

Rena, annoyed: "Niklas, why do I have to wear this?!"

Niklas sighs, then says: "I told you Rena, this is a formal ball. That pareo outfit is completely unsuitable for this event. Please spare with it for the duration.

Rena scoffs and turns her head away from Nik pouting.

Sakura: "Wow it's so lively here! So this is what it's like!"
Solis: "Eh I don't care that much. All I'm focused on is the food."
Rena: "Mmmm~!"
Niklas: "You guys can eat later. We just got here. Just hang out and have fun for now. Understand?"
Solis and Rena, monotone: "Yes Niklas."

Solis and his friend then walk and look around, running into the green-haired Hyurs.

Solis: "Hey it's you! That green healer!"
Max: "Ahem I have a name. It's Maximilian Green."
Solis: "Max-a-mi-lee-on???" ...How's Max instead?"
Max, sighs: "If it's easier to say, then go ahead. Now quiet I'm reading."

Niklas: "Is he that glasses guy you two mentioned about?" He is referring to Solis and Sakura about Max.

Sakura: "Yes! He is a really nice healer!"
Niklas: "Interesting..." He is in deep reflection towards Max.

Max: "You wish to say something to me?"
Niklas: "How would you like to-?" He gets cut off by Max.
Max: "You wish for me to join your team of adventurers, Solaris Ventus and put my magic to great use. I decline."
Niklas: "H-how did you...?"
Max: "My sister showed me your poster." He points to his sister behind the four.
Alice: "Yay~! My little brother is making new friends finally~!" She glances at Solis for a second, and at that moment new feelings have awoken inside Alice.

Max: "Alice, don't call me little!" He sighs.

Sakura then has an idea, and goes towards Max in a sexy way.

Sakura: "Aw~ don't be like that Max-san~. Your healing was pretty amazing~. And you seem kinda cute too~."

Max is starting to blush. He says: "C-cute?"

Sakura sits down next to him, her bust touching Max's chest causing him to blush even more.

Sakura: "Isn't it lonely to be in your library all sun long? You must be pretty lonely~."
Max, blushing hard and frantically: "I-I-I assure you milady that I-I am perfectly fine! I-I use my time reading m-my many books!"

Sakura leans closer towards Max, being more seductive due to her being a kunoichi.

Sakura: "C'mon Max-kun~, admit it you would want to be with other living people~, mostly us ladies~." As she is saying that her lips come close to Max's face near his lips and ears. Max gulps hard and contemplates for a couple of seconds.

Max: "...Alright, you got me. I guess it would be nice to be with other people for a change. I've just been wanting to be alone ever since my parents died."

Rena: "Your parents died? How sad!"
Max: "Yes, but my sister managed to stay sociable and happy, while I retreated to the haven of my books for happiness, but I still felt empty. Thanks Sakura, you helped me out a lot."

Sakura smiles and tilts her head. "You're welcome, Max-kun~!"

Max: "Max-kun?"
Solis: "She's a Doman, it's just how they say names in a friendly way."
Max: "Ah."
Solis: "Oh Max, take this!" He tosses Max an emblazoned linkpearl. "Use that to contact us, mk?"
Max: "S-sure." Max is still recovering from Sakura's seduction.

Alice suddenly creeps up right behind Solis's ear, breathing.

Alice: "Hi."

Solis jumps and screams for a second as he turns around with a weirded-out expression on his face.

Solis: "The hells was that for?!"
Alice giggles. "My name is Alice! Alice Green! You're Solis, right?"
Solis: "Y-yea?"
Alice giggles even more. "You're handsome!"
Solis: "Uh thanks?"

Alice giggles EVEN MORE, starting to creep Solis out.

Solis: "Uh Max is your sis usually this creepy?"
Max: "No. I think she has taken an 'unique' fonding of you."

Solis gulps as he realizes what he meant.
Solis: "Hey listen sorry but you're not my type heheheh..."
Alice suddenly grabs Solis and brings him close to her, face-to-face.
Alice: "You amaze me, Sol. Wanna...dance?" She gets ready to pucker Solis, who is currently scared and is trying to break free of her grip.
Solis: "I-I-I-I Guys!!!"

Niklas and Max separate Solis from the new fangirl Alice.

Max: "What in the seven hells, sis?!"
Alice: "You will be mine, Solis! I swear to it!"

Solis: "Let's move somewhere else, ok? Max wanna come?"
Max: "Actually yes. This is the first time my sister has creeped ME out too."

Solis and his friends then walk away from the fangirl, to another part of the Court.

Niklas: "Heh congratulations Sol looks like you have your own admirer!"
Solis: "Shut up! Like you haven't had one as well, Sir Knight!"

Niklas suddenly remembers an overzealous Keeper that served a similar role to Alice, causing Nik to shudder. "S-sorry. That was insensitive of me."

Solis: "So Max, is she really older than you?"
Max: "By a second. We are both twins. She is just a little taller than me."
Solis: "Really?! You two are like the same height! So why does she call you little?"
Max sighs, "She just loves to tease me all the time. I am the more responsible twin while she does not really care about knowledge as much as I do."
Solis shrugs, until he sees a familar face in the crowd, the same girl he bumped into the other sun. "Is that...? It is!" He runs off into the crowd, catching the others off guard.

Sakura: "Sol-kun where are you going??"
Rena: "Did he find someone?"

Solis catches up to the Hyur girl, Celestia, and puts a hand on her shoulder, catching her attention as she turns her head around.

Celestia: "Ah~ it's you Sol!"
Solis: "Celes! Didn't expect to see ya here! Miss me?"
Celestia: "K-Kinda yes."

Niklas and the other catch up to Solis and observe from a distance.

Rena: "Who is she?"
Niklas: "Must be the girl Solis said he bumped into when he explained how he was late to our meeting."
Max: "Interesting."
Sakura: "Hau~ she's so pretty!"

Solis, blushing: "What a nice dress you have there."
Celestia, blushing as well: "W-Why thank you! Nice shirt!"
Solis: "T-Thanks!" Celestia moves her legs in an awkward manner.

Solis: "Do you...know how to dance?"
Celestia: "Y-Yea why?"

Solis extends his hand towards Celestia, at the same time turning his now flustered face away. Celestia is also flustered as well.

Solis: "Well?"
Celestia: "Teehee! Ok!"

Celestia takes Solis's hand and they start doing a slow dance, moving around the area turning and maneuvering in an strangely eloquent manner, both dances flustering but enjoying each other. Niklas and the others watch from a distance.

Rena: "Hey Brother, weren't you in love once before?"
Niklas: "...Why do you ask, Rena?"
Rena: "Well seeing Sol and this new girl together...it reminds me of my old boyfriend Zahara."
Niklas: "Zahara probably heard you died and has moved on."
Rena: "Yea, but so have I...Listen since we're not really true siblings...I think it's ok...if We could....." Rena starts to blush hard, and Niklas raises an eyebrow.
Niklas: "We could...what?"
Rena, flustered: "We could...dance...together...y'know like a couple?" Niklas's face immediately becomes flustered, embarrassing both himself and Ren in front of Max and Sakura.

Silence followed between the two of them staring at each other with flustered faces, until Sakura broke it.

Sakura: "You two are not related by blood, right?
Niklas: "Yes, so?"
Max: "Then it should be fine if you two dance together. There's no worry of incest going on, as you two are not truly related."
Niklas: "True, but me and Rena have thought of each other as siblings for years, and for Rena to ask of this so suddenly right now...I-It's unexpected!"

Sakura goes over to Rena and Niklas in between them.

Sakura: "It's easy! Just grasp each other's hand together like this." She sets up the initial dance pose for both Rena and Niklas, much to their embarrassment. She then does the same for herself and Max, much to Max's confusion. "There you go! Now just move your feet in rhythm, like so!" She moves her feet to the side then back. "C'mon Max!"

Max: "W-W-What is going on?! I do not know how to dance!"

Sakura smiles and giggles, "Perfect this will help you as well! Just move your feet in the same rhythm as mine, just like moving alongside a mirror!" Max awkwardly nods as he moves his feet in accordance with Sakura's, and they start to dance rather weirdly due to Max. "C'mon you two!"

Rena whips her head towards Sakura, "Sakura this isn't helping at all!!! You just made it a thousand times more awkward! Oh brother Nik I'm sorry she did this to us!"

Niklas: "A-Actually I'm OK with this." He grasps his hands more around Rena's.

Rena blushes even more: "R-Really?!"

Niklas, flustered: "If it is ok with you, I would like to dance with you as a couple as well. Should we?"

New feelings awoke in both Niklas and Rena as Rena nods, moving their feet slowly as they then turn in harmony, performing a rather crude but elegant dance. Now all three couples dancing; Solis & Celestia are now more accustomed to their dance, doing the best one, Niklas & Rena are getting more comfortable but are still flustered red in their faces, and Sakura & Max has Sakura as the more comfortable, with Max still trying to catch up after being dragged into the dance unexpected, blushing and otherwise. In the meantime, Alice creeps towards Solis and Celestia, appearing behind Solis and breathing again.

Solis: "U-Um...Celes?"
Celestia: "Yes Sol?"
Solis: "There is a creepy girl breathing on me from behind. What do I do?"
Celestia is dumbfounded by the question until she sees Alice behind Solis. "Oh that creepy girl?"

Alice, creepily: "Heeeeeeeey Sooolllll."

Solis shudders heavily as he instinctively hopped back away from Alice towards Celestia. "You again!"

Alice, creepily: "Who's your girlfriend there, Sol?"
Celestia, flustered and panicking: "G-G-G-Girlfriend?!"
Solis, panicking as well: "What?! I just met her!"
Alice: "No one is allowed to be near Sol but me~."
Solis: "Celes PLEASE don't listen to this woman! She's crazy!"
Alice: "Crazy for you! Come here!"
Solis, panicking: "OH NO! HELP! CELES!"
Celestia, panicking and confused: "I-I-I-I...!"

Alice twirls Solis around making him dizzy before bringing him close to her face-to-face like before. Alice has a tight grip making Solis unable to escape.

Alice: "Pucker up, handsome!" She is about to kiss Solis, who is screaming "HELP!!!!"
Celestia then pokes Alice in the back with a stern look. Alice turns around, "Huh? What do you wa-?" She is cut off as her face is met with Celestia's left foot, with enough strength to knock her back across the floor a couple of ilms, also saving Solis from being kissed by Alice. Max and the others also notice this, but does nothing but dance with each other.

Max: "Damn sister, I am ashamed..."

Solis recovers on the ground with closed eyes and panting, as Celestia helps & comforts him.

Celestia: "Sol, are you Ok?"

Solis then opens his eyes to see Celestia's beautiful face, making Solis blush. "Y-yea I'm fine now. Thanks." Celestia, now blushing as well, extends her hand for Solis to reach, helping him get back up on his feet along with Celestia, dusting off their outfits.

Solis: "You got one hell of a leg there!" He glances over to where Alice landed, now dazed. "But I think you just caused a scene."

Celestia: "Oh damn...sorry."

Solis: "I think it's time for us to go. Besides I'm starving! Guys!!!"

Niklas and the others stop dancing as they hear Solis's voice.

Niklas: "Way to go Solis, for ruining a perfect dance."
Rena: "P-Perfect?!" Niklas quickly shushes Rena.

Solis: "We haven't eaten in bells. Let's all go out to the Quicksand!"
Sakura: "Sure!"
Celestia: "Can I come with you guys?"
Solis: "Absolutely!" He takes her hand with his left hand and drags the other with them happily on his right hand. "C'mon!"

Niklas: "Fine fine it's getting late anyhow. But you're paying Solis!"
Solis: "Gods come on~!"

Celestia giggles as they all leave the Gold Court together as one big happy group of 6.
