I figured now's a good time to drop by, what with maintenance and all. Nothing to do until tomorrow.

I've been playing FFXIV for 4-5 months now, but slowly working through endgame on Leviathan rather than roleplaying. I feel like I need a break and so I'm returning to my roots as a roleplayer. I spent an obscene amount of time on it growing up, back in the days of AOL chatrooms and Neopets. I just decided I liked writing more.

Offline I'm a fairly reclusive person into books, birds, computers, and pretty much everything I don't have to leave my apartment for.

I plan on settling in on either Behemoth or Brynhildr, as I hear there are active roleplay communities there. Confirm/deny?

Server wise I would try for Balmung. There is some RP on a couple of others, though not sure about those you mention.

Shame to spend 20 bucks on another transfer just before Chrismas, no? I still have cookies to make and send halfway across the US.

I'm sure there's roleplay to be found someplace other than Balmung.

Most of is can't quite confirm or deny other servers' RP activity. We are predominantly Balmung players, with a bit of Gilgamesh players and a smaller amount who post occassionally looking for rp/connections from XYZ servers.

We can only tell you that it's abundant and thriving ok Balmung (you can practically see it all the time if you go to the hot spots, no matter the time zone). We can only say that we have seen an occasional 1-10 players looking for rp or talking about rp on the servers you've mentioned.

We have a few linkshells for other servers that aren't Balmung and Gilgamesh, but it's hard to verify how many people in them are active.

I've generally seen Siren reported as having a growing RP community, however. You might like to try there if you're looking around for a server that isn't locked all the time.
